"A mixed bag"
We have stayed at Semi-ah-moo many times. The room we occupied was clean and nicely appointed with that special view as an extra. The problems came with staff. We were told upon arrival that we would not need reservations for dinner as there would be plenty of room. When we arrived Packer's Bar had a 45 minute wait and the dining room only could accommodate us at the bar. We were waited on in a timely fashion but the food was very slow in coming and my salad sat on the counter for 8 minutes without being delivered. The maƮtre d was asked by us to find our waiter to deliver it. She was asked on two separate occasions to get him from the pantry to serve us. Never did he apologize nor seem to be concerned about our lack of his attention. Secondly, and significantly, I arranged for a wake up call for the next morning as we had to catch an early ferry to Vancouver Island. The call never came. Luckily we woke on our own or this could have been a very large problem. The room was great and the food was excellent. The service was another matter entirely. Very disappointing!

"very noisy"
Lovely hotel, spotless and staff are amazing. However, know that this is a TIMESHARE building. I spent almost $800 for a weekend to stay there and still had to throw out the garbage and clean up. Not a huge deal but still annoying. Also, if you don't get a top floor unit, it sounds like a stampede above you. Very very noisy. This is a place to have fun, not for r & r.

" Very comfortable, clean and affordable."
The hotel room had for us everything we needed. There were no frills which was just fine . the bed was very comfortable anf the room was extremely clean. They had a fridge and microwave coffee maker which made a very convenient. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, so overall I would completely recommend this location for a place to stay.

"Wood paneled Clean 3 bed cabin - good value"
I found this Circa 1960s style cabin to be clean, with friendly staff, very good price-to-value ratio. It's about 300 sq ft with 3 beds (sleeps 5), bath, and small kitchen area (small stove & sink, microwave and full fridge).

"Nice hotel very close to the border"
Northwoods is located less than 5 minutes away (on foot) from the border checkpoint, while also being very close to the city center. It also has a diner right across the road, for when you're feeling too lazy to walk the 2 mins to the city. Overall it's a decent motel, I found my room to be quite clean and comfortable, with a fridge, TV and microwave. They serve a basic but complimentary breakfast too, so that's a plus. Definitely there are better locations along the Birch Bay, but if you're just looking for a cheap yet decent place to stay for a few days, this does the job.

"Close to the shore"
Cute, roomy, clean motel room for a cheap price. The town was clean and charming, too. We're only in the area over night. I wished we had more time to wander around.

Blaine is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Blaine, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Blaine hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
