Front desk staff were great. No complaints. But the hotel itself had this old moldy stench permeating throughout the building. On top of that, the windows were single pane so street noise was loud; the upkeep wasn't great; the toilet was tiny (men will understand this); and the shower had a lot of mold growth. Oh, and you have to stand on the bed to access the closet. I thought this was a boutique hotel in the heart of the city, but it's more like a motel on the side of the deserted highway.
I checked in around 8 or 9pm. By 5am I had booked another hotel (the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront) and left. The person at the front desk was very understanding (I think the smell and noise are common complaints) and suggested I contact Expedia to get reimbursed for the 2nd night I wasn't using. Unfortunately my claim was denied by the hotel management. Honestly, considering the state of the place, I was not surprised. I just hope they don't withhold my deposit.
I do not recommend this hotel.
