Loved this hotel. I had a 15th floor room with a lovely view of the river. The room, while not enormous, was a decent size compared to other hotels I stayed in during my trip to Japan. It was clean, modern & beautifully furnished (loved the chaise longue by the window, the sliding panel over the TV, and the little things like free bottled water). It is located in a fairly quiet area but is only a few minutes walk from Higobashi subway station (and a quick ride of 3 stops to Namba station and the Dotonbori area) and about a 15 minute walk to the Osaka Station/Umeda area. There's a Family Mart (convenience store) in an office block across the road for those looking for a cheap breakfast.

Staff welcomes you like no other 0kace! They are warm and friendly, super helpful and always ready to serve.
It is my most favorite place because of the staff. Starbucks is next door, convenience store across street and it's either a 15 minute walk or 700 yen ride to Osaka station and a 1000 ride to shin Osaka.
Rooms are lovely offering 2 pillow types. Beds are firm but I never woke up sore.
It's my Osaka hotel!

The Imperial Hotel in Osaka is a wonderful hotel, with beautiful facilities and great service. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed, and meals were excellent. They also offer a free shuttle to and from the central train station which was extremely helpful. We would definitely stay at the Imperial again.

Tastefully decorated, modern, quiet and safe neighborhood w Kitahama plaza and subway a few steps away. Professional and hospitable staff as with most service oriented workers in Japan. I'll add helpful and polite, w many amenities in the room. I'm 190cm and my travel companion is 186cm and we managed to sleep very well on a double bed because of the pillowtop mattress. It's amazing what you can fit into a relatively small room but plenty of space to unload two suitcases and to do a full yoga series.

Located in the city’s north side, this is Osaka’s center for contemporary shopping. In addition to numerous shopping malls, this is the home of the Umeda Sky Building. Designed to reflect the image of the sky, the building’s two 173 meter towers are joined by exterior escalators and a rooftop floating garden. The Blue Note Osaka, one of the city’s premier jazz clubs, is also found in Umeda.
