"Decent hotel in Rome"
Booked this as it was within walking distance of Termini Station. Be aware, however, it is a 20 minute walk not entirely recommended at night. The area may look a bit run down but, in many ways, it`s better there for a night out than the -tourist rip off in the centre of the city. There`s-affordable- restaurants and bars locally. After a day looking at the sights, this is what we did. Area is popular with students, and gets enjoyably rowdy at the weekend. Hotel was all right- check in was fine. Staff were courteous without being effusive, despite some seeming surprise at us being a gay couple. We were given a nice room at the top with a large balcony- ask for this if possible - it`s a good option. Lift to upper floors a bit pokey and run down. Room is not enormous, nor does it have a fridge, but is fine as is the shower and toilet facilities. Remember to hand your key is at desk when going out - was not told of this, and banging on the door at 4am is no joke! Breakfast is a total let down, however. The dining room is fine- but the 'choice' is not. Cereal and cold cuts. No eggs. Old bread warmed through. Check the cold cuts are still edible! If coffee and a croissant is all you`re after though, it`s fine. And there`s a bakery right across the road if all else fails.

"Not far from Termini train station"
We stayed 3 nights in Rooms for You and we're very happy with the room itself. Not having been in Rome before, was a little nervous about not having owner on site but got used to how keys worked and had no problems. I learned however buffet breakfast is really only a few packaged foods and yogurt, coffee pot and instant coffe / tea in the room. Breakfast coupons for a crescent and a capachino were available at a small cafe close by. We enjoyed picking up fruit at the local produce shop across the street from the cafe.

"A different feel"
My friend and I stayed in the apartment which was in another building near the B&B, so we didn't get to experience the benefits of the B&B, which I wish we had known before booking. But, the apartment was very clean and the neighborhood did not feel touristy at all. It felt very residential, it seemed like there was a lot of good activity going on at night. The apartment was about 15-20 minutes away from Termini station, but it was a little bit far from many of the main tourist attractions, but I highly enjoyed the area.

"Great base for Rome"
Was made welcome by the owner, who lives in a different apartment on the same floor. There are three bedrooms sharing one bathroom. Never saw the other guests, and had the place to myself for two of the four days. Breakfast was coffee and a pastry at the cafe on the corner, using a voucher. The flat is about 10 minutes walk from termini train station, so fairly handy for metro, buses etc. The area is quite lively at night, so had to close the window and use air con to get some sleep. As a woman travelling alone, I felt safe both in the b&b and the local area. The bathroom was clean, the shower worked well, with a lit up mirror and excellent hair dryers. My room had a big lockable wardrobe and table and chairs. There was a small communal fridge for water, free wifi and a tv in the bedroom. All in all it felt quite homey and comfortable.

"really friendly helpful staff"
staff were always attentative, friendly and helpful, a really nice room, spacious and smart. the only drawback I felt was if you had a room overlooking the roadside which was a bit noisy on the Friday night, well into the early hours. The Saturday night was fairly quiet so perhaps the Friday was a one off, If you are going out late yourself this wont matter, but when i was there i was having to get up v early in the mornings and was trying to get to sleep at 10pm, but i would possibly ask for a room at the rear if i was going again and had to get up- early again for early engagements I quite liked the location from the point of view of it being more where the locals live. There were quite a few interesting looking bars, cafes/bistros and bakeries so if you would want to get away from all the tourist trap stuff then this is a nice place to stay.

San Lorenzo is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in San Lorenzo, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your San Lorenzo hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
