Plus. Plenty of room in the hotel lobby, outdoor and swimming pool to spend leisure time. Clean room and very comfortable bed. Nice and spacious bathroom. Buffet breakfast was vey good. Very friendly and efficient people at the counter. Check in and check out was easy and fast.
Cons. Service and food at dinner time was bellow average. There were only three people serving around fifteen and twenty tables. From our seven people party, only two were satisfied with their order.
Free shuttle to airport terrible. We told the driver to take us tot terminal 2 and the airline we were flying with. He drop us at a parking lot and signaled to a building about 100 meters away. It was the wrong building and had to walk another 200 meters before we get to the right building and the right airline counter. An 86 years old lady was in our party. Imagine all that walking under 30 degrees temperature for her. He must hate people and should be fired.

Hotel was located less than a block from subway stop. Bus drops off from the airport three blocks away! Internet worked great! I forgot my adapter for electricity...they let me borrow one for length of stay, hairdryer in bathroom, bed was extremely comfortable. I love having a window to open...it was two glass doors...WONDERFUL! Restaurant was beautiful. Rooftop terrace was beautiful. The staff was SO WONDERFUL AND HELPFUL. I was a woman traveling alone in a city I had never visited...they were so helpful. I felt very safe...and the area around hotel was safe. I can't say enough....I am do glad I did not stay on La Rambla...I had considered it....but this was much better choice for me....less noisy and less congestion...and because of subway...you can easily get wherever you want to go. I Loved this hotel and I Loved Barcelona....I will be back!

Apartment was Decent and a Good size .If i wanted to be really picky then could do with a paint job but value for money
the only one complaint i had was the noise from the neighbours .One side young lads pressing an annoying door buzzer at 5am in the morning after a night out , i spoke to them and the next night was fine .The otherside were just dam loud .
If you are there for the Nou camp its ideal with some restaurants and local transport 10 mins walk .
Staff were fantastic and very nice to deal with .The Taxi we booked via the hotel to the airport was very expensive at 65 euros but it was a 4am pick up .the taxi from the airport to the hotel was 35 euros .

I was satisfied with my stay at Olivia Balmes Hotel this past June. It was a good stay but it left me feeling I could've gotten better for the price I paid. First off, the bed wasn't as comfortable. I had a double sized bed, but with one side having the cushion already depressed than the other (apparently most patrons decide to sleep on that side of the bed). The walls are also not as "soundproof". I can understand maybe some noise seeping through from the other room, but in my room the noise from other rooms were definitely permeating, meaning I can definitely hear conversations, loud footsteps, etc. My room itself is nice and spacious though. In terms of location, the metro lines are not too far of a walk so you can conveniently go to Sagrada Familia or Las Rablas fairly efficiently via metro (definitely not by walking unless you don't mind walking for 25 min or so). The rate I got didn't have breakfast included, but at 19 euros and looking at the food selection, its not worth it. Its better to just get a good breakfast of croissants and coffee at nearby bakery shops for less than 4 euros.
