Systems at reception very slow - checking in/ new room key/queried took ages
Shuttle bus organisation needs sorting
One night it took 90 mins due to full coaches/ no proper queue/ I don't expect to have to get to the bus stop 30-45 mins ahead of everyone else to ensure I get a seat on the bus'!!!!

Just spent a few nights at this lovely new hotel, small but perfectly formed. Spacious and very clean and comfortable room. Pool area was great as was the restaurant. Twenty minute or so walk along a landscaped walkway to the business of the marina but much preferred staying a little bit out. Courtesy bus from hotel was available but we didn't use it. Quite a trek to the beach so would recommend using the bus then.

"Nice hotel, close to beach and marina, family trip"
We had a short break with our five year old to get some sun. We had a lovely, relaxing time at the hotel and enjoyed short walks to the beach and marina. The hotel was clean, spacious and well presented. The kids entertainment was great, the staff working with the children were great and offered different activities. The large pool was a lovely temperature with plenty of space for everyone. Free fruit sticks in the afternoon was a nice touch.
We never struggled for a sunbed or waited too long for food/drink. Evening bar service could be a tad improved, but more often that not, we were served quickly by a friendly team.
As its on the beach and expensive area of Vilamoura, expect to pay associated prices for food and drink. That being said, just get your water and wine from the local coop and take to your room. Stick to the local wines and restaurants for the best food and drink - and most purse friendly. The hotel was great at recommending places. We chose not to eat at the hotel buffet as we personally wanted a more cultural experience and felt it was rather pricey.
We had a great view from our room on the top floor, no issue with noise whatsoever. Balcony was very spacious and warm, sat out a few evenings whilst our son slept inside.

The hotel is getting a bit tired now and needs an update we stayed here about 12 years ago and remember it being in better nick then. The sighting is very handy for the Marina and the beach though and I would stay there again as the staff were always pleasant and helpful you can always get a sun lounger and the way the gardens are situated can get shade when required. Myself and my wife were on B & B tariff and found the breakfast adequate and filling without be anything more. You can order porridge and boiled or poached eggs but the delivery is very hit and miss and sometimes they don't get delivered. As the hotel runs an all inclusive tariff the night entertainment is generally provided by the British on this tariff, I think you get my drift. Whether it was the time of year but it seemed to be filled with more couples and families than golfers or hen and stag parties, so the noise that has been complained about on previous reviews did not seem a problem for us.

A modern resort created in the 1970s, Vilamoura is famous for its marina and several championship golf courses. What it lacks in local character it makes up for in facilities as one of Europe’s largest leisure complexes, including most water sports. By night the marina is the lively hub with bars and eateries for all budgets, plus a casino and nightclubs. The adjacent beach of Praia da Falésia is recommended.
