"Long Weekend Away"
Had a short break at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable with a huge bed, sofa, desk etc. Breakfast was very nice, a little limited and when things ran out, it would take a while before they were replaced if at all. Having said that, we certainly always had enough to eat and enjoyed our meal. We used the restaurant a couple of times. The food was ok and reasonably priced for a hotel. We were there at the start of April and despite the warm weather, the pool was freezing. Shame it wasn't heated or there was an indoor heated one. The hotel offers shared use of another hotel's facilities and I think the other hotel has a heated pool but as we didn't have a car, we didn't go to find out. The hotel has a courtesy bus which goes to Tavira, the nearest town, and to Cabanos, a little fishing village, which is where the beach is. Our first trip to Cabanos, we could see the sea but couldn't get to it as there is a river between the beach and the village. We sussed it before our 2nd trip there - you have to get a boat across the river. The crossing takes about 2 minutes and costs €1.75 for the return trip. It's a bit random and I'm not sure if you could get stranded on the beach if you stayed too late but maybe there's times for the last boat posted somewhere - we didn't see them. The beach was practically empty but then it was only April and it looked like the boats are seasonal and only started running from 1st April.

"Travelling with Toddler"
Upgraded to 2 bedroom apartment which was great with LO. Terrace open onto grass which was fine for us, not so great if your kid likes to escape! Also the stairs down to the apartment were lethal so we used a different route into the apartment. A few injuries sustained from marble table edge (thankfully it was rounded), the sofa bed which had a very hard edge and a slip in the bath but a bath mat was eventually provided on request. Pool is not kiddie friendly. The 'river' (which was broken) is actually a foot bath. LO played in the showers instead. Kitchen relatively well equipped (only small glasses) but oven door gets extremely hot. Full sized dishwasher a little excessive but washing machine was handy. On site supermarket is well stocked, restaurant was fine but ask them to go easy with the oil. Reception staff very helpful especially the lady with a young daughter who gave great advice.

"Short break"
Basic but clean apartment, ideal for two. Paid extra for wifi. TV must be 50 years old! Room service - bed made, bins emptied daily. Much needed heat from air-con units. No liquid or cloths for washing up, would prefer mugs to cups but we bought our own!

"Nice hotel with good location and great views"
After a bad start - they had no double and initially we weren't given the room we wanted - we had a nice stay there. Sadly the pool was closed for three days to install a bar. The staff were very friendly and eager to please and help

"Wonderful historic farm in city"
We had a lovely two night stay at this old family farm that is now in the centre of Tavira (beside the train station). It was great to wake up to the sounds of the different birds and enjoy the gardens and orange trees on the quinta. The breakfast was great too and the cottage was very comfortable.

Tavira is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Tavira, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Tavira hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
