"Excellent hotel, great location"
Hotel is an excellent choice for a city break. Great location, 5mins from Amsterdam Centraal station with bars shops and restaurants on the doorstep, easy walk to Dam square, sex museum, Body Worlds, tramlines, red light district, flower markets, canal tours, you could go on! Staff were fantastic, always smiley and helpful, and allowed us a 4hr early check in! Stayed in a superior room, had no view and room was quite small however both were expected with a city centre location. Bed was huge with comfy pillows and linens. Shower was good with 3 settings. Temp reached 30degrees while we were there and air con worked great! Tea coffee in room and great UK TV channels while you get ready for a night out. Wifi worked continuously in any area of hotel with no need to sign in and out! Would def stay again!

"Good central location "
I travelled with my 17 yo son to watch a concert at the Ziggo Drome. The main Rembrandt Square is quite lively and also expensive in comparison to other areas just away from it and across the city. The hotel is 2 in 1 (also called the Eden) and it is quite nice and in a good location. A latte at the bar was 3 euro and a pint was 6 euro, but we didn't eat there. Rooms are okay and the maids are intent on cleaning it daily (even on Sunday) and despite the 'Do not disturb' sign placed on the handle. I tried booking the airport shuttle with the hotel direct and was told about the Connexxsion service minibus and the desk location at Schipol. Booked return travel for 27 euro each. Central Station is about a 15 minute walk through the Red Light district if you travel light and want to get the train. I did not get requested to pay the 50 euro/day deposit, just the local tourist tax. All in all, I would stay here again.

"Beautiful, central hotel"
This charming hotel is a great way to experience Amsterdam. Pretty much everything you want to see is within walking distance. The staff are very kind and classy. The room is a bit on the small side, but very old-world with the great wooden beams. You can eat in the hotel's big restaurant or have a nice breakfast in the café. I recommend eating at Bussia, around the corner.

"Location is nice"
It is a beautiful place, and the concierge and reception staff are nice. However, rooms are quite small & noise from the canal is loud on sat night (thin windows?) and woke my wife and I up several times (in our 50s). Food at the canal side restaurant is good but staff are a. It inattentive (inexperienced?). The high end restaurant inside has high end food and prices to match but my wife and I both felt we had better food at more local restaurants that are located within 10 minute walks in beautiful neighborhoods. Need to stay away from the downtown tourist trashy scene located on one side of the restaurant which is loud and not great. In the end it is a beautiful old building that is. Sry well appointed with a very attentive concierge and front door staff - friendly accommodating and all good.

Our experience at swissotel was amazing. The building was lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel couldn't be more central, we could look out onto dam square from our luxury bed. This hotel definitely made our stay in Amsterdam that much better!

"Excellent location albeit wonky room :)"
Beautiful check in, great people , attentive like a five diamond hotel Easy walk from Central Station, this was our fourth time in Amsterdam and we own a hotel in Cancun . Expensive weekend rate we later discovered was due to a sports event . You see how little I know about that. Third night, reasonable . Very exceptional view, arguably the best in Amsterdam Smallest room of my life , and slanted , very slanted . Highest floor and extremely tiny , fortunately we did not have to unpack and simply put on our jackets outside the room

Old Town is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Old Town, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Old Town hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
