This is one of my favorite hotels in Osaka. It is really conveniently located near Nanba Station, at the end of the Nankai Line. If you are coming in from Kansai Airport, it’s just a hop from the train to bed. The place is really well appointed, with gym and sauna, but also a kitchenette and washer/dryer in each suite. I’ve long been a fan of the Fraser Residence, and my most recent stay just confirmed my confidence in the place.

I needed to goto hospital during my stay and the staff here were so amazing. Finding a doctor who could speak English in the area wasn't possible so a staff member escorted me to hospital and was my interpreter. The staff were all so helpful and lovely. The hotel itself is very large for a Japanese hotel. Rooms are lovely and the amenities Are fantastic. Location is brilliant, right on the JR train station.

We stayed at the Namba Oriental for 5 nights. We were given a room on the 8th floor, which had been finished being renovated two days earlier. Very large room for Japan standards (it had a couch which had a sofa bed underneath) and a King bed. Bathroom is small, normal by Japan standards. Room had a NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto coffee machine with 3 pods provided daily. Very pleased with the room. Free wifi which was good speed, minimal drop-outs. We did not eat at the hotel or use any other amenities.First up, it can be a little difficult to find without a printed map, particularly coming out of the subway as there is several exits, but after the first go, you'll find it like a pro.
Fantastic location with plenty of eating options around and shops everywhere. Lawson's was next door, as was McDonalds. Subway/metro etc entry's/exits were close for the 3 Namba stations to access other areas of Osaka. Short walk to Dōtonbori area with more food and shopping options.
Grab a location map from reception as this shows uncommon items like a coin laundry - we went through a few over the 5 days as we referred to it extensively!
On our next trip to Osaka, we will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is perfect for everyone to enjoy around Osaka including Osaka downtown, Koyto, Nara and Kobe. But you should not expect too much because this is a 3 star hotel. Nevertheless, this hotel is very clean, near to the Dotonbori shops/restaurants, easy access to the subways/trains, etc. One thing which is most important to travelers is price. I paid 255$ per night and I think it is too high as a 3 star business hotel. You should understand the price level of the hotels in Japan is that high.

the hotel is near to subway station, Yotsubashi Line and Midosuji Line. The staff is friendly but there is some issues when I check in. I cancelled one of the booking and replaced with another one but the hotel system did not update accordingly. The issue cause more than 30min to settle. Besides, the Hotel did not provide the email as a contact. So it is difficult to confirm certain things with them.

Hard to find at first - I got lost after dark and wandered around the grid-lined streets of Yotsubashi - but a comfortable, clean and well-set-out hotel. Room was fine, typical size for Japan and spotlessly clean. One negative was there was no safety box, nor anywhere to store all valuables at the reception desk. Surprised. Breakfast was moderate but did the job. Overall, would go there again.

This area contains the covered shopping arcade Jan Jan Yokocho, named after the “jan jan” sound of the stringed instruments waitresses traditionally played to attract customers to their restaurants. Originally frequented by blue-collar workers during the 1950s, it remains a destination for down-to-earth nostalgic dining. Also nearby is Tsutenkaku Tower. Considered by residents to be the symbol of modern Osaka, the tower’s observation platform offers city views from 91 meters above the street.
