The room was great. Clean and with wonderful views. The staff that checked us in made us wait more than 30 minutes because supposedly they did not have the room we had requested (corner room). I kept asking if everything was ok because they were speaking Japanese and finally he told me. Then he just said sorry we don’t have your room. And that was it. He didn’t offer an upgrade or any vouchers or anything. Just, sorry we don’t have your room. Then he said if it was ok if we stayed in a ‘family’ room. I didn’t know what he meant but in the end, when we went to the room, it was still really clean and nice.

Nice hotel steps from Dotombori

Great location just steps away from the very busy Dotonbori area of Osaka. The hotel is quiet and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Loved our stay at this property. Fantastic location. I loved the pajamas in the room as well as the robes. Area was very walkable and close to transit stations. Staff was very helpful. Could not have asked for more.

I don’t know how this property is 5 star. The service was very average. At reception afew times even almost rude. The restaurant at the hotel we dined at once ,was so depressing with very average food.the room was disappointing as well. We decided to Check out one night earlier .

The hotel overall is a nice hotel with it being centrally located to the subway and other facilities. However, I do not think this is a five star hotel as the service was not what I expected for a Japanese hotel. The breakfast in the morning was mediocre at best. I saw a better service and better quality in Tokyo itself. I felt that the staff was there for the sake of being there, but was not happy to be doing their job.

Nothing could be more convenient. Direct train to and from Kansai Intl’ - check. Shopping - check - Namba Parks and Takeshimaya next door. Eating - check. Kuromon market, streets lined with little restaurants of all types. Nightlife - check. Dotombori, Shinsaibashi within walking distance. Amerika Mura and subway stop away. Easy connections via subway to Tennoji, Osaka Station and Shin Osaka. And oh by the way the hotel is also nice.

The breakfast buffet is terrible. No deserts and very limited quantities of everything. Ie you can count how many toasts they have. Make sure you eat before you attend the breakfast buffet. The hotel also charges you extra tax on top of your bookings. Not children friendly. Takeda at reception refused to discuss any of the issues at hand because I’m not Japanese and apparantly I don’t understand the rules of the country. Overpriced and no facilities. It is a 3 star hotel not 5 stars. They didn’t brink enough towels or waters to the rooms. Absolutely terrible. Please choose another hotel.

Love the location and accessibility to the various shopping malls. Room is very clean and well equipped but the split toilet and shower/bath takes some getting used to. The bathroom has one narrow mirror so two people cannot get ready at the same time. The lighting at the bathroom counter makes you look like you have bags under your eyes. There is a magnifying mirror but it is not lit up.
