Brand new hotel just opened its doors in March of 2016. Location is AMAZING, right in the middle of Ginza! Just a few feet away from Higashi-Ginza station and 1/2 block away from the Ginza station. Not to be confused with Tokyu Stay Tsukiji (Hotel is brand new so sometimes it didn't pop up on google maps). Service was amazing. Check in was easy. They have a section in the lobby where you can stock up on toiletry needs (shaving cream, mouth wash, tea, coffee, etc). You will find the basic toiletries already in your bathroom. Good security, you need to tap your card in the elevator to get to your floor. Entire hotel and room had a clean, modern look. Got to the room and the pocket wi-fi (a must for any tourist in Japan) I had ordered had already been left on our room. Bed and comforter were amazingly comfortable. We slept like babies. Free wi-fi available in the room and in the entire hotel. Free breakfast buffet style. We checked out and they kept our 2 large suitcases in storage while we traveled to Kyoto and Osaka for 2 days. When we checked back in, our luggage was already waiting for us in our bedroom. Staff is incredibly pleasant. Bathrooms: Brand new! Other perks: Free Washer/Dryer unit in all rooms! They even hand you a small pack of detergent when you check in, along with instructions in english for the washer/dryer, A/C unit and TV remote. Like everything Japan, these guys did not leave even the smallest detail! We will be staying there next time we visit Japan!

Booked this hotel for a last-minute trip to Tokyo. Once I found it, it was conveniently located. Safe neighborhood, good amenities. I like being in the middle of the Ginza district and being able to get within two blocks of both subway stations.

Quiet, Clean Comfortable, Staff was inviting and room was perfect for my needs. Is it American size room...no, but your not in America, you're in Japan and this room offered exactly what one needs at the end of the day, a place to relax. The only downside is no local television. Movies and shows cost ¥1000. could have used a bit of local news however. Wifi in the hotel is superb however.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Monterey Ginza for a few nights in Tokyo. The hotel is in an excellent location for both the metro and Yamanote (JR Pass) lines. There are plenty of restaurants and shops in the area.
The room was quiet, clean and complete with all necessary amenities. We would recommend staying here to others, it was perfect for us!
Located five blocks from the famed Ginza Crossing, long held to be Japan's national centre of cosmopolitan fashion and shopping.More
This is an excellent hotel in a good location (Ginza). First, there is a direct, frequent limousine bus service from Narita to the hotel. Second, Tokyo Metro stations are within 10 min walking distance. Third, there are plenty of shopping and dining options in the Ginza area. Tokyo station is not too far, about 25 min walking distance but may have to take a taxi. Hotel staff is very friendly, all speak reasonable English. The rooms are a bit small but more than adequate. The view from the room is fantastic. The overall condition of hotel is good. Air conditioning works very well and can operated using a touch screen panel right next to bed. I felt like the breakfast at the hotel was expensive, so did not try it. There is a cheap option avaialable- Dennys-within 5 minute walk. Lack of a fitness center is a disadvantage but not a deal breaker. Overall, I was very pleased with the stay and with all the amenities this hotel has. I will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

High on opulence and popularity, Ginza was one of the city's first districts to implement Western-style brick buildings and gas lamps. Set in the heart of the city, it is the place for those who don't mind crowds, and serious spenders. But it takes very little to see Asia's largest fish market, a traditional kabuki play, or the latest gadgets at the Sony building.
