Have you ever stayed in a hotel which also has a gallery or museum in it? This was a first for me, and I was extremely impressed with the really fantastic modern art at 21c, as well as their great rooms and fantastic bourbon bar. Highly recommend. Especially fun are their interactive exhibits. I dare you to be disappointed.

The property was beautiful! Very nice, clean and the staff was super friendly and very helpful! We loved our room, with the small exception of the AC not going below 68° so it will feel warm at times. The breakfast was wonderful with adequate selections and we just really enjoyed our stay!

The hotel is very historic but needs some investment by Hilton. The parking situation, though the valet works well, is a problem. The street is very crowded with another hotel across the street, and there is no way to pull in. We parked going the opposite direction. The rooms are a bit dated (the bath tub is less than inviting), and the lobby a bit dark. Nonetheless, the hotel is centrally located, the staff quite helpful, and it is close to many interesting features.

Louisville is best known for hosting the Kentucky Derby each year on the first Saturday of May at Churchill Downs. The West Main District of downtown features Louisville's “Museum Row”— home to such favorites as the Muhammad Ali Center and the Louisville Slugger Museum. The Water Tower, the built in 1856, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
