We really enjoyed our stay here. Room was comfy, clean and staff was super helpful. Would definitely recommend.
Pros: easy check in, the staff, cleanliness, room service came much quicker than expected
Cons: getting a table at breakfast was like pulling teeth. We booked a river view room, but the view was a city view with the river off to the side
We will definitely be returning!

Our room was on the 21st floor and was facing the falls. We had a window/door opening to outside with a small step out balcony. This allowed for the roar of the falls to be right in our room, but closed gave us quiet when needed. The fireworks display was magnificent. We had one day of rain, but this room and view gave us opportunity to enjoy every day to the fullest.

We chose the Roslyn as it was not too far to drive from JFK and we were exploring Long Island. It's a great little hotel. The room was clean and tidy and a good size. Unfortunately our room was on the ground floor at the back. The 'view' was of a solid soil embankment next to the road, but we were only there a couple of days so it wasn't that important. Our coffee machine didn't work, which we mentioned twice, and which was supposed to have been fixed twice, but wasn't. A minor niggle.

"Nice Hotel next to the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road"
This is a nice hotel on Long Island in Great Neck, NY. The staff is very good and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
The biggest gripe is that the room has an individual heating and air conditioning unit in the room. In the room we stayed in the A/C would only work on the higest setting even though it had controls to lower the setting, they did not work. What we did was turn the unit on when we left the room and turned the unit off when we returned. Leavingthe A/C on during the night resulted in a very frigid room upon awakening.
An amenity that is missing is that there is no business center that allows travelers to access the internet to check out local events or acces flight information or print out such useful things as boarding passes.
The hotel features a continental breakfast which we found to be below average for a hotel, We ate out for all meals even though the hotel has a restaurant. We did not eat at the restaurant based on comments from other travellers who said the restaurant was pricey and not all that good.
