It is a poorly-maintained hotel from a bygone era. I loved everything about it. It is extremely practical - outstanding price&location! Two things weren't perfect from my perspective: the check-in line was very slow (about 40 minutes), but I think it was a fluke of timing (we showed up at the same time as a big crowd). And the heater in the room seemed to have two settings: 75F (on) and 65F (off). Well worth it for the price and location!

Everything was great, just wish the bathroom was a little larger, but I understand about space in NY. The only thing that could be improved upon would the room passageways...should be better lite with brighter lights. Otherwise loved my one night stay.

I have no complaints about this hotel at all. Stayed here with 3 of my friends overnight in a room with two queen beds and the room was still very spacious. The gentleman at the front desk Bruce was very helpful and polite. Absolutely loved the steam room and hot tub. It might be on the pricey side of hotels but if you want a quick getaway this would definitely be the place.

We wanted to be in the downtown area to be within walking distance of a few sites, but the main purpose of the trip was to attend a Sabres game. We were overjoyed to learn of the free trolley shuttle to, among other places, the hockey arena. It was a welcome treat to not have to worry about driving to and from the hotel to the venue. The stay was excellent.
