I booked a solo trip to NYC on a whim and because I was travelling by myself, I knew I wanted to be in a central location but not in the heart of Times Square. I'm SO glad that I chose the Hilton as it really was the perfect balance- it's less than a 10-minute walk to Central Park and Times Square, along with the charming Bryant Park, 5th Avenue shops, etc., but it felt a little removed when you wanted to go home and have some peace and quiet. The staff were lovely and helpful and check in and in booking the "hop on hop off" bus to get me around the city; I was very early for check in due to my flight time and I was able to upgrade my room and get settled right away. They do have luggage storage just in case though, but they charge $4.00 PER bag which is a pain. My only complaint was that the walls are quite thin- the neighbours who moved in two days into my trip were terribly loud when having normal conversations at 6am, but it was short-lived. This is definitely my new "go to" for my trips to NYC!

Centrally located in midtown Manhattan, this New York hotel is within walking distance of Times Square, Fifth Avenue …More
The hotel location was perfect, 1 -2 minutes from Columbus subway which was on many subway lines and ideal for getting anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Coney and the Yankee stadium. Its a 3-4 min walk from The Met.
The hotel was very cool. There is a gorgeous roof garden/ bar on 15 th floor and a few bars in the lobby fooor. Our double double room was great for 3, the bathrooms were small but perfectly formed. Doubles looked quite small, Breakfast was self service but ok with big a la carte choice. The outdoor eating area lovely. Would def recommend and will return when in New York.
