Gran Hotel Ciudad De Mexico

Av 16 De Septiembre N 82, Mexico City - Map
"Stunningly beautiful interior"
The stained glass ceiling is utterly glorious and the fir out of the hotel is just incredible. Really never stayed anywhere it's equal and given the extent of my travels that is saying something. Of course the hotel is expensive and because of that I expected better amenities and services. You know how the small things count? The arrival and check in were perfect but sadly it went down hill from there. Just the little things: Coffee in the room but no tea Hotel kitchen does not open until 7am. There are no eateries near by that open early. The kitchen staff made no offer make alternate arrangements, inconvenient for early flights The reception staff in the morning were helpful but in the afternoon they were reluctant help with anything out of the ordinary. I wanted a map to help plan my trip the following day. I said that I wanted to walk between two tourist locations and needed a map. My request was met with distain- how could I possibly walk 4kms? When I asked in the morning it was no trouble at all. The lovely young woman had the map printed for me when I returned from breakfast and I proceeded to have a delightful afternoon exploring the two neighbourhoods I had a drink on the charming terrace and charged the drink to my room. When I returned to my room I answered the phone and was told there was a problem, they did not have my credit card. I was made to feel like a criminal. I had not been asked for my card when I checked in

The hotel was nice but the pool and the gym are too old. Employees are dedicated and helpful. The pool area is great to watch planes take-off and land.

Staffs were verybkind and helpful. Smiles all the time. Location is good. Near bus station. If staffs at front desk are nicer -no smile, looks stressful, then I would give 5 stars for all categories. But overall, this ws good

"Great place "
I really loved it here. The location is perfect, the staff are great, and the rooms are swell, just ask for a room high up because the street gets bumpin at night. I'd stay there again for sure.

Amberes No 78, Mexico City - Map
"Decent place in Zona Rosa district"
This was a decent and safe hotel. I got the impression it was a place where many professionals stay while visiting Mexico City. It's right around the corner from the Insurgentes subway station and within walking distance to all the bars and restaurants. The room itself was standard fare, kind of like your typical Super 8 Motel room. Decent bed, decent shower, decent toilet. Everything works. Wifi signal to the room was adequate. Downside: Ice chest on my floor never had any ice, and the phone in the room was not operational. I had to walk downstairs to the front desk to ask for more toilet paper ("papel hygienico").

Mexico City is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Mexico City, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Mexico City hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
