"Lovely hotel, close to the centre"
We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Azul. The hotel is beautiful and the room was very nice and peaceful and grand. The staff were very helpful and polite and attentive and we would be happy to recommend your hotel to anyone visiting Merida. You could improve some things but they are small: 1. They could put boosters in the rooms to improve internet service. We could not really use the wifi because the connection was too weak. 2. They should do something to get rid of the mosquitoes in the breakfast area because there was a lot of them. 3. Housekeeping could be improved slightly. Most good hotels change bedsheets every 3 nights, and if someone is staying 4 nights like us, then usually most hotels will change bedsheets half way through the stay. We had the same sheets all throughout the stay. I save enough water reusing my towels and bedsheets when I am at home so when I go on holiday its nice to have fresh linens

"Very nice space and comfortable. Very well located"
We just stayed 1 night but it was agreatexperience. The swimming pool wasn't working which could have been fun to refresh myself in that hot weather of Merida. The hotel is in perfect condition and love they keep it with that apparience that I guess was originally build. It just makes you feel in tune with the city's history.

"Family Reunion "
Booked Superior room king bed european plan, room was spacious, staffing keep room very clean, bed was very comfortable, air condition worked very well and keep room very cool since it was very hot and humid (104). Staff at front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Only ate breakfast at the hotel which was very good. There are different price plans for buffets and entree. Service was very good and prompt. We ordered the continental breakfast and was very pleased from the omelette bar, fresh fruit, pastries and main beeakdast entrees. Overall a very good stay. I would recommended this hotel highly.

"Historic hotel close to Central Merida"
From the moment we walked through the expansive wooden doorway into the small, yet lovely courtyard with a fountain, we felt this would be a quaint and lovely place to stay. Check in was fast and "Eddie" helped us and carried out bags up to the third floor. He then showed us how the AC worked, ceiling fan, master power switch, lights and the safe. Sadly, we were tired and didn't pay as close attention as need regarding the safe, and after thinking we'd set the lock properly, couldn't get it open. Back downstairs to find "Eddie". He came back to our room for a second "lesson" on safe "safekeeping" and then we had it down pat. He spoke some English and I speak more Spanish, so we had great "visits" throughout our week here. Jorge from the dining/bar staff was always on top of things. Our two bed, room was adequate in size, had all the needed toiletries, a table and chair. Hot water in the shower every day. And we were too late for the welcome drink but had it the next day. We were pointed in the direction towards restaurants and found a tasty Italian pizza and pasta place for a very reasonable price with attentive young workers. Every day La Mision staff greeted us and were friendly. I would recommend you brush up on your Spanish, however, because few staff speak English or other languages, and that could lead to frustration on your part. We enjoyed the breakfasts, their bar prices were reasonable and I'd definitely go back. It's two blocks from the main square and Cathedral.

"Nice people in a old and unattended facilities."
Many problems with the door lock system, the key card was deactivated/activated at least 4 times in my 2 nights stay. The elevator looks very old and in bad shape. It seems that the elevator has serious problems with the cranking shaft because when it stops in the level selected, looks like internally something is broken and even there was a gap or a step down or step up to go out of the elevator. The hotel in the ground floor looks very nice, very friendly people, the amenities are cheap as the price as well. So far the hotel is 3.5 from 5 for us. Good luck and enjoy Merida, Mexico.

"Really quaint, charming and unique place. "
I close this place because in the pictures I saw all the rooms furnished in antiques. I am somewhat of a buff, and was not disappointed. They have some beautiful pieces. I got a single room which was clean and charming with a balcony overlooking the courtyard garden and pool. There was only one other couple there so I felt like I had the place to myself. They have a "self serve" kitchen with the basics, coffee, beer, some alcohol, bottled water, and set up continental breakfast in the morning with fruit, cereal, juice, coffee and coffee cake. There is a large grocery store around the corner, so if you wanted to make your own meals you could definitely do that as there aren't any restaurants close by. Center is about 12 blocks where there are many restaurants. There is a rooster close by which starts trumpeting in the early morning which added to the ambiance. I only stayed one night, between towns, but could have enjoyed a longer stay if I was in town.

Merida is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Merida, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Merida hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
