Atmosphere Noisy doesn’t even begin to describe it. The environment was chaotic, largely due to the unlimited alcohol. The all-inclusive policy led to excessive drinking, with many guests visibly intoxicated throughout the day. Bartenders seemed untrained—or unwilling—to cut anyone off, no matter how belligerent they became. The result was an uncomfortable, rowdy atmosphere that didn’t feel remotely relaxing. Safety This is where things truly went downhill. Late one night, as we were returning to our room, we encountered a severely intoxicated man banging on our door. We kept walking and immediately called the front desk, requesting security and a cleaning crew. He was vomiting violently outside our room, and it took over 30 minutes for a staff member to arrive. When help finally came, the staffer brought a first aid kit but didn’t seem prepared to handle the situation. The man was eventually escorted away, though he could barely walk and was holding himself up against the walls. Unfortunately, the damage had already been done—vomit covered the hallway, our door, and had even seeped into our room under the door, filling the space with a putrid smell. Simultaneously, we could hear shouting and what sounded like a drunken argument just a few rooms away. At that point, we made the decision to check out early. Staff The person who checked us out could not have cared less that we were leaving. I have much more to say but unfortunately I have run out of characters.

The gym is in need of an overhaul. Rundown broken outdated equipment. The area was way too small and no air conditioning. 5 people and the place was packed. The gym at the sante fe next door was outstanding! They also need to bring back normal size water bottles, they only have giant size bottles little to big to carry around everywhere. Need more speciality restaurants, the steak house fills up quick other choices are limited. Nice hotel for relaxing and hanging out at the pool!

The property was well maintained. Staff was kind and helpful. The buffet had great options, breakfast was our favorite meal! The drinks were good enough for all inclusive. Overall, a great stay and much more relaxed than the neighboring Riu hotels.

Rooms are outdated and dirty. Rooms smells like mildew. Bathroom walls full of mold also found some black tiny insects on toilet bowl and wall. Still not sure what kind of bugs they are. shelf in bathroom is hanging on for dear life, mirrors very worn. Toilet bowl cracked and shower head broken. Found two cockroches in the room. Tiny full beds connected together def can not accommodate number of people specified. Restaurants need improvement, buffet is better. The so called "italian Restaurant" was the worst food, if you could call it food we have ever had. Also found hair in the food. Entertainment was def lacking. The first few days of trip didn't even have music by the pool. Staff dissapeared for couple hours before returning. This was my second time ar Riu Palace and it definitely needs improvement.

Will not come back or recommend resort to anyone. Was locked out of my room at 1am for an hour with a 6 month baby. Their customer service relation manager did absolutely nothing about it. Offered us a late check and which wasn’t even needed. Front desk guy Manuel was rude. Mexican food was terrible. Will not ever recommend this place to anyone.

If you book with the walk up pool, on the first floor. One side of the hotel is great. The other side has a kids/aquafit program daily. It's really really loud. Double check you are on the other side. Otherwise, food and drinks and everything were great.

This is the cleanest hotel I have ever been. Food was delicious and everybody was super nice. Be aware that you cannot swim in the ocean , it is pretty rough with red flag every day. Also, they only transportation that is able to pick you up from the hotel lobby is a taxi. Shuttles , Ubers and everything else you will have to walk a long way to the main gate to take them.

Hotel, staff and dining was amazing, the issue with the policia blocking the entrance while we were trying to leave was terrifying. We had a personal vehicle scheduled for departure to the airport and no one could come onto the property to pick us up. We had to run to the main entrance to get a taxi.
