"Great accom in the Royal Children's Hosp building "
Very convenient to book a room when your 1 yr old has a 7.00am check in for surgery the following day. We were able to secure a parking pass and stayed in the workspace parkview king room which was lovely. By staying overnight he was able to get used to a new environment and was very comfortable under the circumstances. Hotel was very good my only minor criticism is that the restaurant did not have a children's menu which seems a little bizare given that it is situated in the RCH. There was a McDonald's but I don't believe in feeding that to a 1 year old as a main meal. Thankfully we had a plan b from Thomas Dux. Staff (hotel and restaurant) were great. Probably could have asked the restaurant to prepare something special for him but by that stage we had already spent over $100 on dinner and room service that it was just getting too expensive.

Pretty much the basics but clean and comfortable. We had a quiet room, managed to get a car park in the 'first in best dressed' car park system on both nights. Well situated - Lemontree Thai Restaurant just up the street a 'must do'.

Staff couldn't be more helpful, our first family rooms heating was not working, phoned reception, lovely staff member came straight up, unable to resolve problem so moved us straight away to another room. Very clean also, comfortable beds. Definitely be booking again for our next trip.

The staff are friendly, rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. The location is great with secure parking and shops nearby. Unfortunately the bathroom is painfully small and VERY uncomfortable which is the reason for the less than excellent ratings above.

An inner-city suburb, Carlton is known as Melbourne's 'Little Italy.' Lygon Street is the hub of Italian tradition, lined with a plethora of cafés, European cake shops, gelaterias, trattorias, and fine Italian restaurants. The area is also home to well-preserved examples of Victorian architecture and the World Heritage-listed Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens.
