"Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin – Very Very Very Good Ho"
This is a very good hotel that is let down by not paying attention to small detail. I’ll definitely stay again. The staffs are all polite and with smiles on their faces at all times.
Though not in central Dublin, its location is perfect for getting to the centre of Dublin by bus, taxi or even a brisk 20 minute walk.
I booked a room with double occupancy but was given such a room but with two comfortable beds joined together. I was immediately given a room with a double bed once I requested a change. Each room has a flat screen TV, en-suite power shower / bath with toilet and extra pillows, kettle and cups (Complementary tea / coffee, milk and sugar. There isn’t a fridge by default but one was provided on request (No mini bar which wasn’t a problem). TV channels were plentiful and all in English.
The free Wi-Fi is excellent everywhere in the hotel with my smartphone and PCs connecting without any problems. Rooms are all floors are accessible with two modern working lifts in use. Rooms are cleaned daily.
Breakfast is a combination of full English and continental – take your pick. I have to say one of the best in terms of taste and quantity. Breakfast selection of breads, variety of fruits, cheeses, scrambled egg, pancakes, sausages, yogurts, cereals, with tea, coffee or fruit juices (Orange, Grape Fruit and Apple).
Ballsbridge hotel is let down by not providing a fridge as standard and its placement in the room just spoils the look and feel.

"walk to DART 4 stops to Pearce station in Dublin"
We arrived early and tired from flying all night to a warm welcome of tea and cookies. Our room was ready in 20 minutes ! Easy access from airport and easy parking available! Sandymount is a beautiful neighborhood close to Dublin on the water. With its own little town of shops, stores and Pubs ! Within easy walking distance to the DART and only 4 stops to Pearce Station downtown Dublin! The room was clean and cozy with our own full bathroom! The breakfast offered was excellent! The staff excellent , patient and very accommodating! Also very helpful and knowledgeable with maps and getting around! It was very private and comfortable and will stay here again !

The hotel has a free carpark and is close to the train station making it easy to get into the city centre. When events are on in the Aviva stadium I'm sure the hotel gets very busy, but the night we stayed it was fine.

This hotel is a bit away from city center, but there were some very nice pubs and restaurants filled with locals that we hung around. The room, bath & linens were just ok. The bed was pretty uncomfortable but could deal with it for a couple nights. All in all - a fine hotel but nothing spectacular.

We stayed here two nights and were pretty happy with our choice. The room isn't big but is comfy enough. They tucked us away in a corner of the 5th floor so it was very quiet and had a little bit of a view.
The room was clean and well furnished.

Leafy Ballsbridge is a quiet and exclusive residential area, a 20-30 minute walk into town (served by frequent buses). The Grand Canal flows through it, and while much of this waterway is less than grand, there is a pleasant stretch near the Richmond Street bridge with canal-side pubs. George Bernard Shaw’s birthplace is a popular neighbouring attraction.
