Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed this hotel, to explore Dublin from. Onsite pub and restaurant and they have a "kitchen party" event inclusive of dinner and Irish music that we didn't attend but noticed it was well attended. Very accommodating staff, from Ann at reception, Mathew the part time bartender and all other staff members we met, they went out of their way to be helpful. Quiet convenient location, about a 20 + min walk to Ttrinity college. Recommend and would return.

We stayed here while our house was being renninvated with our two young kids. Have a fridge and microwave in the room was fantastic. It would have been perfect had there been a breakfast option, however due to the proximity to local cafes and having a fridge and microwave in the room it served us perfectly. Would highly recommend.

Renovated hotel with large rooms. Room and bathrooms were clean and comfortable.
Staff was very nice and accomodating.
Lobby nice with sitting area with complimentary tea and coffee
Located about 1.5 miles from center city. A bit of a hike, but it is walkable. There is a hotel with a pub about 100m down and across the street, but there is not much else close to the hotel.
Has its own parking lot in back which is secure.
Though it was a like overpriced, but enjoyed the stay.

"Unforgettable stay at Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge "
We had an early arrival into Ireland, expecting a long wait for check in. Upon arrival, we were kindly greeted by a member of the hotel staff, Ereameus, who instantly took our bags, provided an update on our hotel room, which was ready early, and proceeded to give helpful information to make our stay in Dublin very pleasant. Per her recommendation, we chose to do the yellow Hop on Hop Off Bus tour while we waited for our room. Our trip would not have been as amazing without her help!
In terms of the hotel: as soon as you walk onto the grounds, you are meant to feel as if you are living in a castle. We stayed in the executive king room and were not disappointed with our choice. The room was very cozy and quiet. The posh and quaint subarbs of Ballsbridge is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city centre. It is about a 25 minute walk into the city, which we very much enjoyed, but the bus is right outside if you prefer the 10 minute drive. Just up the road, there is a plethora of dining options before you reach City Centre. Couldn't be happier with our choice to stay at Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge, thank you for making a first visit to Dublin extraordinary!

Leafy Ballsbridge is a quiet and exclusive residential area, a 20-30 minute walk into town (served by frequent buses). The Grand Canal flows through it, and while much of this waterway is less than grand, there is a pleasant stretch near the Richmond Street bridge with canal-side pubs. George Bernard Shaw’s birthplace is a popular neighbouring attraction.
