Rooms in upper floors requiring two elevators lack charm, are cheaply furnished and resemble airport motels. Rooms in lower floors are much nicer having retained the charm of an old stately building.

A fabulous hotel

A little more expensive than some Dublin hotels, but so worth it! It's not a long walk from Connelly train station, but because my partner has mobility issues, we took a taxi (€9) The hotel is in the middle of the city, close to many shops, bars and restaurants. Beside it, there are two "Hop on/off" bus companies - our favourite way of viewing anywhere we go. Check-in was simple- I had already given our details via their website. Our twin bedroom was great- very spacious. The beds were extremely comfortable. There was an air-conditioning system, which we gladly used.The bathroom, again, was very spacious - the shower really good. [Not the hotel's fault.. we had asked for a room close to the lift, which we did, but some of the clients 'forgot' others may be asleep when they were going to their rooms late at night]. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous! So much choice, everything so tasty! The dining room staff were great. Would we go again? Definitely!!

Central location, clean & comfortable!

Great central location to most things in Dublin. Breakfast buffet was extensive and replenished frequently. Service was friendly and quick. Room/bed was comfortable - a little noisy at times but that was due to our room being on the back side by the garbage bins and at street level. Only caveat is due to the size of the hotel - we had to take two different elevator banks and walk down multiple long hallways to get to our room each time. Also it’s frustrating not to have bottled water in the room - they give you a carafe that you can fill with bathroom water. The “gym” is a joke for the size of the hotel FYI. Overall would stay again.

Comfortable hotel with convenient location

We booked this hotel while attending an event. We stayed in the older part of the hotel. Room had been updated, but decor seemed a little "tired." Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good, with a lot of variety. Staff all frienfly and helpful.
