"The hotel was convenient to the airport"
The hotel was convenient to the Dublin Airport. We had enough beds for out entire family. The only complaint I'd have is the hallway smelled like someone was smoking but all of the rooms were non-smoking.

This hotel is an excellent place to stay in Dublin. It is not to far from downtown by bus or train. A major train station is very close by. The neighborhood is safe and the hotel is very family friendly. I will not hesitate to stay here again.

"Excellent hotel close to many attractions"
Arrived in the morning after an overnight flight and were pleasantly surprised to learn that our room was ready for us. (we were not counting on being able to take a late morning nap after a long flight from the U.S). Guy at the reception was extremely friendly and professional and processed our check in very quickly. Good introduction to Irish hospitality... Our room was clean and although not large by American standards it had all the space my wife and I needed for a comfortable stay. Location is a big plus as the hotel is right next to O'Connel St. and close to many bus stops, shops and within walking distance of many attractions. Overall the experience at the Academy Plaza was very positive and we highly recommend this hotel.

"Nice hotel "
There were 3 of us so this room had 2 twin beds and 1 double with a nice little table and chairs but they took up almost all the room. Had a safe which was nice. I would have preferred to stay on the other side of town where the nice stores were but it was a decent enough area. The breakfast is quite nice which a good variety of food (not free). The hotel gets a cut of any taxi order so it's cheaper to get one outside yourself.

    Explore Dublin

This lively, literary city hunkered on the banks of the Liffey revels in its heritage. Dublin’s compact center displays the marks of its dramatic history – centuries of religion, revolution and resurgence. But the Irish capital is also a booming modern city, a multicultural art and high-tech hub.

Start at Dublin Castle, dating back to 1204. At stately Trinity College you can view the intricate Book of Kells, an illustrated religious masterpiece from 800 AD. Cross the O'Connell Street Bridge to the north side, where the drama of Irish independence played out in the early 20th century.

True to legend, you're never far from a great pub in Dublin. You’ll find grand 19th-century establishments as well as humble gems with corners as dark as a pint of locally brewed Guinness. Wander from one to another, enjoying the stories and boundless energy of the locals. Experience the Irish love of words in cozy bookshops and electric live theater. Sample fusion fare in Temple Bar or savor new Irish cuisine in St. Stephen's Green.
