CitizenM is a fun quirky hotel situated less than 5 mins walk from Schiphol airport (starbucks exit).
Its rooms are compact with everything you could need including hairdryer and free safe.
We had a room on the 3rd floor, airport view, which was quiet considering!
Room controls are very techy! Nice touch all controlled from an ipad mini- you can control lighting, mood, blinds and tv which includes a small selection of movies!
Travel links from airport are excellent.
Staff very energetic and will do anything to help!

I was staying here with my boyfriend and thought it was very strange that we couldnt get a double room, all twin rooms. The shuttle bus from the airport was great and the train there was very handy . The staff couldnt of been nicer and even let us leave our bags in a store room as our flight wasnt till the evening. I will definitely be recommending it to a friend.

Lovely hotel, great room with a comfortable king size bed. We had a side room which I think was a bit quieter than being right at the front, our friend had a front facing room and had a few disturbed nights with noise, loud voices mainly, from a late night deli across the road.
The hotel was close to Muiderpoort train station, the tram stopped right outside to take you into the city centre. We chose to walk most days as the weather was glorious. It took about 20 to 30 minutes.
Staff on reception were friendly, welcoming and helpful.
We didn't use the restaurant but we had drinks from the bar served outside in the sunshine, we did have to wait a while to be served on one evening, they were particularly busy in the restaurant.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, good value for money too.

This area is known as Plantage (Plantation) and while its lush parkland has mostly gone, botanical gardens and the small Artis Zoo provide refuge from the hustle of the city. To the north, the excellent maritime Nederlands Scheepvaartmuseum is a reminder of Dutch naval power; to the south the ethnographical Tropenmuseum holds exotic treasures from the Dutch East Indies.
