I wanted an inexpensive hotel in a good neighborhood with easy transit connections, and hoped I would find a nice, boutique, unique place. I did at the Drottning Kristina. I had one of the basement rooms with no windows for 4 nights. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom large with a great shower with rain head that surged with wonderful warm water, the breakfast is outstanding with herring and salmon and good coffee, the staff were all very kind and helpful, my only complaint is that the hotel lobby was undergoing renovations and so when I arrived, I found an unexpected constructions zone. For $86 per night ($70 prepaid) it was not only a bargain, but a delight to come home to after each day of touring. Thank you to everyone there.

I was not expecting such an elegant experience. everything was BEYOND my expectations... really perfect. The location, the staff, the old world art nouveau decor. with modern amneties ....the window and view from my room was a work of art in itself....i hope to have the good fortune to return. three days was not enough time in Stockholm....so much to see and do... back to the hotel, it was the epitome of understated elegance, incredible charm.... if you are looking for a flashy or shabby experience look elsewhere... The Diplomat is discreet old world chic.... gracious and refined.... perfect name for this hotel....

Clean hotel with big bedrooms. Excellent buffet breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff who spoke near perfect English.
The hotel is within walking distance of all the central sites. Our maximum walk was 25 minutes to he ABBA Museum.
For outlying sites the hotel is about two minutes from the metro. We bought a day pass and visited Drottningholm Palace, the Globe and the Ice Bar in one day.
My one gripe - the mattress was far too soft for my taste.

Hotel in a good location, close to the Metro, but in a quiet neighborhood. Staff could not have been more helpful. Restaurant was quite good, and not expensive. Breakfast has great quality and good variety. I would recommend to any tourist looking for a good place to stay in Stockholm.

Hotel was nice, the room nice, staff very nice and helpful. Unfortunately the breakfast was next door at a Chinese place. Me and my friend got ill two mornings in a row and we believe the breakfast was to be blamed. Perhaps it all was due to the apple and orange juice machine since the juices had a sort of funny taste to them, and we both had juice to drink every morning.

Stockholm’s poshest neighborhood was once home of the Royal family’s horse stables and armies. It’s located in the area north of Dramaten, the off-white and gold theatre where Ingmar Bergmann got his start. Shops like Svensk Tenn offer classic Swedish design while Östermalms Saluhall provides an indoor gourmet food market.
