The name says it all. It is truly a Grand Experience! Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely. There are many ways to save on travel, but if you find yourself in Stockholm, then make sure you do not try and cut cost by not staying at the Grand. You will regret it. Staff was incredible!

"Great location for the harbor"
We were in Stockholm for two days and we wanted a convenient hotel with a view. This hotel fit the bill. The location to the Vasa museum (which we did early in the morning) was an easy walk. It is so convenient to everything we did in Stockholm. All of the high end shopping (Prada, Gucci, etc.) is just two blocks away. The old town is about 10 minutes walk. The staff was great and very helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel. I did get a view of the harbor, but it was slightly obstructed by the Swedish flags at my window.. If I stayed there again, I would request at least a 3rd floor room to eliminate this issue. Other than that, it was a very nice room and good view.

"Great location for a tourist"
On arrival, I was allowed to check in before 12pm because a room was available. This was unexpected and when I got to my room, I was not disappointed. I had a room facing the back and although it was on the smaller side, it was perfect for my needs - just a bed to sleep in and a clean bathroom. Each day, my room was cleaned and the bottle of sparkling water each day was a nice touch! Especially during the summer. As a single female traveling on my own, I felt safe in this hotel and the location added to this feeling of safety. The breakfast buffet was amazing - everything you can imagine and more. Well worth the room price in my opinion. A good breakfast meant that I could eat a good breakfast early and then head out to explore. The location is good if you want to do the typical tourist sites - I stayed for four days and walked everywhere. including Gamla Stan, Ostermalm, Kungsholmen, Vasastan, Djurdgarden, etc. Everywhere is within walking distance from the hotel so you can save on transport costs and see more on foot.

"Trendy hotel within 5 minute walk to train station"
The hotel was a in good location to the central train station. It was clean and staff was friendly. However, our room was incredible small. It overlooked the back alley way to the garage and when the windows were open you could smell the stench. The room did not accommodate two people with luggage well. It was very tight. The room would have been better for one person. I asked to change the room and was told that there were none available.

"Lovely Hotel, extremely well situated"
We had a wonderful stay in Stockholm, especially because of the location of the hotel, which was really convenient for walking to the main attractions. If you are going to Stockholm, don't miss the changing of the guard at 12:00 in the Royal palace a real treat for horse lovers and musicians. The 3 day hop-on hop-off joint ticket is good value. The VASA museum is probably the best museum experience you will have. The downside is that eating and drinking out is incredibly expensive.

"Eclectic "
The hotel was unusual and eclectic. I like staying in unusual places. Though my room was underground with the patio above, it was big enough for me. It served its purpose. The mattress left a lot to be desired in room 2001. It was close to reception (a single, twin size mattress) and required two doors to go through to get to the room. It was noisier than I'd expect given the price. The free wifi was adequate for my needs. The free breakfast was good. I do not like runny scrambled eggs, so, I stuck with making sandwiches. The staff was friendly and always said hello. No upgrades nor other amenities were offered. There was a fan in the room so that helped cover the noise and keep the room cool. The bathroom was open, no curtain nor door to the shower so there was always water everywhere which was king of annoying. Maybe in an upgraded room, I'd rate my experience higher.

Stockholm is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Stockholm, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Stockholm hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
