"Great Getaway by the Beach"
Overall, we enjoyed our experience at The Ranch, although there are a few things that could have been improved. What we loved: The facilities and grounds are lovely - rustic chic decor that really works! Comfortable and clean rooms with a nice update, functional and lots of space. The patio with rocking chairs and small table are a great touch to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. Location is great being far enough away from the craziness of downtown Laguna, yet still near enough to the beach and excitement. Great live music and fire pits in common area. The valet guys were fantastic and always very attentive! Golf cart service available to take you to the beach walkway and to pick you up. What we didn't love: Weddings and their guests take over on the weekends. The serenity of the hotel is erased with loud party goers all over the place and guests strolling into their rooms late at night having no consideration for those who would like to sleep at midnight. Housekeeping was inconsistent and we were always needing to ask for basics that should have just been replenished if and when the room was serviced - we had to ask for our room to be serviced more than once for some reason. While the hotel cannot be responsible for rude people leaving their trash strewn about the property, they could easily remedy the issue by having staff tend to litter regularly, as this was a problem seen throughout our stay.

"14 West - July 2017"
14 West is in a great, quiet location near two breakfast cafes and a couple of beach access points. It is an easy downhill walk to the main commerce section of Laguna Beach and dining. I would return! However, our room (#8) needs some upgrades - the sofa upholstery was peeling. Also, the multi-level flooring (two steps) from the sofa area to the sleeping area need to be noted to guests in advance (accessibility issue). And, the bedding area has a 2 inch drop off to the kitchenette and bath area without warning. These need to be disclosed for safety reasons.

"Wonderful hotel right on the beach"
Surf and Sand resort is right on Laguna beach so the location cannot be beat! It is a bit older but is well maintained. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We had a dinner and a breakfast there. My only knock is that the rooms are not air conditioned but there is a ceiling fan that does a descent job. For those not interested in going swimming in the ocean there is a beautiful swimming pool and hot tub that overlook the beach. We will definitely go back when we travel to Southern California again in the future!

"Great location "
Just a walk across the park and you're at the beach. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We went for relaxation so people watching on the fun zone and walking around the island was perfect. No need for our car. If you don't want to pay the 35. a night valet charge, you can park for up to 7 days at 19. a night across the street in public parking.

"Cute hotel , near beach"
Liked ambiance, quaint. Bed & pillows uncomfortable. Walls too thin, can hear next door. Needs soundproofing. Liked open coffee bar. Wish pool was bigger. Beach towels ridiculous, need new ones. Curtains don't cover windows completely. Shampoos, etc. not enough of. Parking sketchy. Phone didn't work. Fridge was dripping water.

Mission Viejo is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Mission Viejo, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Mission Viejo hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
