"Very upscale hotel with price to match"
From the moment you pull up to the valet, you are made to feel like a very valued guest. Check in, bellman service - all done with class. The room itself was nice but nothing special. But the view from our room was perfect (at the very end of the hall, we had nothing but ocean!) And the restaurants were outstanding (especially Stonehill Tavern).

"Comfortable and right on the harbor"
This hotel has a great location right on the harbor where you can just walk across the parking lot to the boardwalk. The courtyard view rooms look across the courtyard toward other rooms and the courtyard is small so the other rooms seem close, however, you can look to the side from the balcony for a view of the harbor. The hotel shows it's age in some areas, but overall was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the easy access to the harbor with shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Light breakfast was provided on the main level, with outdoor patio seating, which was a nice amenity. We would definitely stay there again.

"Nice hotel near the beach"
The hotel is in a good location near the beach. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance. The rooms are on the small side, but comfortable. The staff was great and very helpful. Overall, a nice hotel. I would stay again.

"GREAT LOCATION , NEAR THE BEACH, AND RESTAURANTS"
we were looking for a hotel, near the ferry over to Catalina Island. This Hotel worked out great, across from the beach although you have to go over an overpass over the railroad tracks, {but every Hotel has to do the same}.

"The best. First class all the way"
Awesome hotel. Expensive but worth it. Amazing staff from the valet to the front desk, restaurants, lounge, etc. beautiful views from all common areas and restaurants. Kind of wish the main pool faces the ocean, but not a deal breaker...would go back in a heartbeat.

"Good Location close to freeway, harbor, shopping"
We have stayed at this hotel before during renovations. We thought that the renovations were completed the hotel would be better suited for us. Not the case. The bathrooms are actually a liability waiting to happen. The shower doors open the wrong way potential hazard. The large bowl sinks are great to look at but not so practical unless you are tall. My aunt needed a step stool plus there is no place to set anything down. I had to put my dopp kit on the toilet. The shampoo provided was half empty not enough left in the bottle to shampoo. All in all we were disappointed.

"Charming! Don't read old reviews!"
Charming remodeled cottages. I read the bad reviews and decided to give it a try. Clean updated bathrooms, the mattresses were fine, nice staff, continental breakfast was good. Someone said they don't use fitted sheets... Uh were they stupid? NOBODY uses fitted sheets. I stayed at a 5 star resort two weeks ago and they use flat sheets. Across from the train tracks, yes. So are the othe hotels on the coast hwy that were far more expensive. the price was inline with amenities and location. I travel every 2 weeks and it was a refreshing change from the modern closed in hotels.

"first time staying"
My family and i stayed here for our first time, we were very pleased from the start. We got here late in the afternoon so check in was ready to go, very friendly staff told us what we need to know. Then we were sent to the Time share counter they gave us the run down of what they have where to eat, what discount restaurants they offer. Then they tried to get us to go to a share which i turned down, then didn't hear anything else from them the rest to the time. The only negative was they don't clean the rooms regularly, they will change towels if you ask and that sort of stuff but wasn't a big issue. Would recommend to stay here was easy to get to beach or downtown with trolley less than a hundred yards away from hotel.

Dana Point is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Dana Point, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Dana Point hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
