"Nice hotel close to our family."
I had an incident in no way affected by the condition of the hotel. The staff and guests involved couldn't have been more nicer, more caring, more concerned or more ready to assist me if I needed them. The location of the hotel was excellent for being close to our daily meeting up with family from Laguna Niguel.

"better than expected"
I was forced to go for a cheaper hotel and was truly worried before I arrived. Turned out to be gorgeous, views of the ocean, fell asleep to the gentle roaring rise and fall. Huge rooms, super clean, nice and warm the way I like it. Minor noise from my neighbor's TV but it ended before I fell asleep. I'll be back if I ever need to stay in the area again. Best part might have been the kind and helpful folks behind the counter.

"Beautiful resort hotel"
Could not have been happier with our experience at the Laguna Cliffs resort. Room was well appointed and clean albeit a bit small. It overlooked the pool and jacuzzi whic were both really nice. The views from the grounds are spectacular. Close to the harbor and all the restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. Two thumbs up.

"Beautiful hotel and property overlooking the ocean"
We took our two dogs. Our room was adjacent to a park and long coastal trail where we were able to run/walk with our pups. Also good for biking.

"Oceanview"
PROS: Oceanview was wonderful The town is super cute Room was very spacious Balcony for every room a plus Sperate bedroom felt like home Staff was very nice Breakfast was perfect Jacuzzi was HOT wit a view Free underground parking AC worked amazing!!! CONS: No light above the mini bar (LoL not a big deal just saying) I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel!!! Nothing to complain about really just petty things that are no big deal. Nobody is perfect. I was able to check in upon my early arrival. The lady in the front was a little busy but she was ablt to helped me out right away. Yes a train does go by every now and then, NOT every hour like some people have reported. The train does not shake the building at all like others say. Maybe they were having an earthquake dream when the train went by. If I wasn't looking out the window I would have no clue the train went by. So don't let the train turn you away from this hotel. The motorcycles are way more lound then the train. But at night when normal people sleep there is no train and not very much motor traffic so there is nothing to complain about there. I highly enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to a friend anytime and will be back again in the future.

"Nice hotel in a great location."
We've stayed here before on several occasions. Great staff and restaurant. Excellent roof top lounge :-) Rooms have been updated but are still being worked on. Across from the ocean and lovely walking paths. Only minus (for smokers) is they used to have a few smoking rooms but have since gone smoke free but that's to be expected...you're in California!!...They do provide a nice smoking area on the patio out front with an ocean view. Overall, we would definitely stay here again!

Dana Point is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Dana Point, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Dana Point hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
