Diamond Hotel Philippines

"One of the best"
My three preferred hotels in the area are Diamond, Manila Hotel, and Pan Pacific. Each have their strengths. The Diamond Hotel has the best restaurant ambiance, the second best buffet and the best service and restaurant staff. They are also improving their room service, this time offering complimentary early check-in, late check out until 2pm and setting up a heater in the room - which is nice if you have traveled half way around the world to be warm and find there is no windows in the room. The staff are always friendly. Rodel, the restaurant manager takes superb care of my special diet and discounts the buffet since I am vegetarian and don't eat the expensive sea foods. He is 1/3rd of my reason for choosing Diamond Hotel for this stay. I should also note that the Diamond Hotel has a beautiful view of the water. By contrast, the Manila Hotel has the best buffet selection, weak service and double the price. Their check-in policies are not guest-friendly. When they have a special including breakfast it is wonderful to enjoy the oldest Hotel in Manila and the fine architecture. Pan Pacific offers a 40% newer/nicer room design and the most responsive management to my suggestions of any hotel but is often more expensive and has the smallest buffet and a weaker restaurant ambiance, but will cater very well to my diet upon request. They also bought a heater for me and offer the biggest emphasis on my comfort of any hotel I've stayed at.

"Nice hotel if it's location suits you."
Chose this hotel as!it was walking distance from my business place. Also convenient location for reaching airport. Harisson mall etc. Hote !stay was ok. Except for the towals which were really worn out. Pool is just to get 4 star status as it was quite small no attendant was there in my only visit there. However, I still recommend it for large rooms, necessary facilities and convenient location.

"Average at best"
The doorman didn't even open the door for me when entering the hotel half the time. Too busy BSing with other hotel staff to be bothered. The room was ok, had a couple cockroaches but nothing spectacular. The water pressure in the shower sucked. In order to get the room made up, had to ask everytime. But, the location was great, right across from an awesome Korean restaurant and the Robinson plaza mall, and smack between the Mabini and Malate cowboy Grill party areas.

"Very nice hotel "
I have stayed here 3 times and rooms, pool, staff, position and breakfast service are all very good...probably even excellent The rooms are huge with cooking and lounge areas and balcony and bathroom and aircon. This hotel is a bit more expensive than the usual places I stay because I stay in Philippines for a month or more usually but it you are happy to pay around $85 to $95 per night for 2 people and free excellent breakfast this is the place to stay in malate!!!! The spacious rooms and kitchen lounge area are great for relaxing with friends and having dinner etc ,especially if you stay for more than a few days.....cook your own meals and save restaurant spending. I booked with Expedia and got a great room(upgrade without asking) for about $70 a night for a couple with breakfast which is good as normally higher.

"My Favorite PaManila Hotel"
Being welcomed and warmly treated is the height of hospitality. I feel that at the Pan Pacific. Some perks: 1) A Pillow Menu that I never need to use because the bed is the nicest around. 2) Request orchids in the room? Why not - they are beautiful. 3) Sometimes I find fresh rose petals or a candle near the tub, along with smelling salts. 4) The bathtub has both privacy or a sliding door that opens to the room and view making socializing easy and for a bath by candle light or sunlight. 5) If you stay here often get to know Elmor, head of guest relations. He is warm, and happy to accommodate special requests when the hotel can do it without inconveniencing other guests. I fly in from San Francisco at 4:30am on the only direct flight and am shown straight to my room with a minimum of fuss and served breakfast in bed when I'm sick at no extra charge. The room and lobby designs are some of the best. The rooftop restaurant is wonderful. The staff, while making mistakes on a variety of special requests, are warm, courteous and constantly improving their knowledge and skills of things outside Filipino norms, with a great attitude and curiosity. I look at value and among the 24 five star Hotels in Manila the Pan Pacific has the nicest room design I've seen, the easiest guest-service experience for sometimes one of the lower rates. The management is pro-customer and so unlike the Manila Hotel (another nice choice) you will actually see positive changes after giving feedback.

Ermita Night District is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Ermita Night District, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Ermita Night District hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
