Enjoyable weekend in Melbourne to see Van Gogh exhibit at NGV. Pleasant walk to NGV, easy walk to Melbourne City to shop. Very close walk to restaurants and Crown Casino. Comfortable, clean, well priced

Friendly welcome and helpful concierge. It was close to everything we needed however we were very let down by the standard of room service. It was highly priced, luke warm and quite flavourless. We told reception at checkout but they sadly just acknowledged this and that was that.

The hotel is very near Sth Cross Station which is great if you're catching a train or visiting that side of the City. But if you're looking to visit the CBD proper or Federation Square then you're in for a long walk or a slow tram ride (and a short walk). The door didn't lock properly (I had to check every time) and the pass cards kept failing.

This hotel has a great location near city centre and markets. The staff are pleasant and efficient. The general ambince is a bit crowded and the rooms near the elevators are noisy for light sleepers.
For a city experience, the view is amazing and overall great value for money, however the hotel needs to get the elevators serviced to stop the whine and noises made due to incorrect setup of the lift.

"Nice hotel very close to Melbourne Central shops"
We arrived Friday afternoon and spent a lovely weekend in Melbourne. Hotel in a great location with close walk to CBD shops and Theatres and also very close to tram stops if you want to venture further. The street has a lot of graffiti on the buildings and a little shady at night, however we did not occur any issues during our stay. There was a lot of building activity adjacent to the hotel, which was not an issue except when they started work early in the morning. Overall we had a great weekend and would recommend this hotel. Room and bathroom was small however this was not an issue as we don't tend to spend a lot of time at the hotel, mainly for sleeping.

We arrived at 11am expecting to put our bag in locker because we thought we were too early to get into our room but reception lady said that our room was ready so we could go up to it straight away which was greatly appreciated.

Though it sounds like a far-flung suburb, East Melbourne is very much in the heart of the city and home to Parliament House, seat of the Parliament of Victoria. Nearby is St. Patrick's Cathedral, a gothic revival edifice and the largest church in Australia. Fitzroy Gardens features a miniature Tudor village. The Melbourne Cricket Ground is one of the largest stadiums in the world.
