Overall, not bad, the bed was very uncomfortable, hard. Housekeeping not great, didn't replenish cups or coffee, skipped us 1 day because they came too early, we asked them to come back, they did, the next day. Front desk was fine with giving us clean towels and coffee & cups for the morning.

I had no idea about the historical significance of The Tutwiler when I booked this room on Expedia. We were in awe upon our arrival. The hotel is beautiful, our room was spacious and had plenty of sleeping space for the six of us. It's also within walking distance to many restaurants as well as the Library and other areas of interest. We will be returning!

What a cute hotel in the most awesome location. Literally steps away from the best local restaurants and bars! The room and hotel itself was so cute! The room was well decorated and very comfortable. The staff went above expectations every time we encountered them. I can not say enough good things about this hotel!

My sister, a ten year Birmingham resident, told me this hotel was, "sketchy." My husband and I found it to be quite the opposite. Check in and parking were a breeze. Hotel room was very clean and very comfortable. Cable and internet worked perfectly, temperature and sheets were comfortable. The only issue was that the bath tub partly filled when the shower was run. Otherwise, almost perfect. Just minutes from downtown and unbeatable price. Definitely recommend.
