Stay Away

After check in 4pm...No AC in the room, brought to front desks attn, was told all rm ACs were out...flat out lie. They finally moved us into a AUX rm 10hrs later at 2AM. Second rm was a tiny rm with a tiny shower. So the whole weekend was horrible. They advertise as a historic to notch hotel, it's really an old building with many problems and very little hospitality

Historic hotel convenient to downtown

Superb location. We walked to all museums and restaurants. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Clean. Roof top bar is hopping and views are beautiful.

Grand ole dame

We stayed @ the Redmont for an event in the area. I love that it's antique details have been preserved. From the staircase to the sconce covers, she harkens back to her beginning in 1925. Upon researching she is the oldest hotel on Alabama. The restaurant has a small but adequate menu and the food was delicious. I do recommend a reservation. We will definitely stay again.

Thos hotel is beautiful. Check in was very crowed but went smoothly and quickly considering how many were checking in at the same tome. Very clean. Tooftop bar is amazing.

Redmont Hotel

We booked two rooms for two nights. While the hotel is in a great downtown location and has a nice overall appearance, we expected better for the price we paid. Each room was only issued one key because they had no extras available — inconvenient for four adults. One room had no hot water, no extra toilet paper, empty body wash container, no face cloth, and two burnt-out bathroom lights. The clocks did not work. In the second room, the safe also didn’t work. Our friends staying in other rooms had similar complaints — bathroom lights out, safes not working, and body lotion placed in the shower instead of body wash. These small issues added up and really shouldn’t happen at this price point. The hotel has potential, but the lack of basic amenities and maintenance was disappointing. On the plus side, the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Hotel was nice. Quick and easy check in. No on site parking and expensive valet. Lot across the street was $20 per day and convenient. Room was overall clean, but there was some overlooked lint/debris in the middle of the floor. And hair in the shower. But nothing that wasn't easily fixed. But for the price, shouldn't have been there. Only 1 elevator was working, so was longer wait than usual. But hotel is nice and an easy uber ride to the new Amphitheater. Would definitely stay again.
