Wedding in Birmingham

The room was very comfortable. We had a corner room with bedroom separated from separate seating area by a hallway which housed closets and coffee station. The bathroom had a large shower with rain type shower head. The only negative was no towel bar and water pressure was a little low. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The valet service for car was prompt.

The building is a historical property and the staff, particularly the valet are very nice. I did not like the smell inside the building.

None of the fitness center treadmills or bikes worked. The hallways smell like mold. Service is mostly indifferent, and the rooftop bar is depressing. It isn't horrible, but this hotel is so mediocre that it's offensive.

After check in 4pm...No AC in the room, brought to front desks attn, was told all rm ACs were out...flat out lie. They finally moved us into a AUX rm 10hrs later at 2AM. Second rm was a tiny rm with a tiny shower. So the whole weekend was horrible. They advertise as a historic to notch hotel, it's really an old building with many problems and very little hospitality

Historic hotel convenient to downtown

Superb location. We walked to all museums and restaurants. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Clean. Roof top bar is hopping and views are beautiful.
