"Excellent Value"
Just had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Best Western Plus Academy Plaza. It is is close to everything! The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and the staff was wonderful. We didn't hear any noise from anyone else in the hotel, from the street or the nearby sports bar. The staff was great and helped us with all our Dublin-related questions. I would stay here again and again!

"Cozy three star hotel in Dublin city center"
Front desk and cleaning staff excellent. Room spacious with weathered furnishings. Bed very comfy with excellent mattress. Comp. high speed WiFi in room and lobby functioned well. Required to sign in with each use and renew every 5 days No mini fridge or microwave in normally priced room. Allowed to store meds in hotel fridge but had to retrieve each morning of 8 night stay. Stores in walking distance. Easy access to tourist and city buses. Noisy neighbors first two nights with constant banging on walls and slamming doors but then things calmed down and became quiet. Comp. coffee and tea station in room. Pressing iron and board in room. Limited TV channel selection. No US news channel. Nice tub and shower with hot water. No safe in room. Helpful wake up calls were reliable. 2 km walk to and from convention center each way each day. I could not afford the breakfast buffet but it was probably great.

"Great hotel"
We booked two triple bedded rooms but on arrival were given two family rooms. A double bed and two singles in each room. The double bed I had was the most comfortable bed I have ever had in a hotel! The staff are warm and friendly, especially the ladies cleaning the rooms who were lovely and even the decorators (upgrading two of the public rooms) were chatty. All the restaurant staff were delightful, especially Monika in the evenings. Our first morning breakfast was a bit chaotic as they were busy and we were sent down to a chilly room in the basement to eat, not ideal but subsequent morning were fine. Plenty of choice of foods, hot and cold.

Hotel St. George

"Nice hotel near the main city attractions."
This was a nice quaint hotel, the building was old but it had a certain character to it. Very close to the main city attractions and if by chance you are directionally challenged and can not find your way back walking, just look for the "giant pin"monument high up and walk towards that, it is a block from the hotel. My one disappointment, being an old building there is probably less sound proof materials in the walls. I happened to be next door to an individual who talked loudly till 2 am on a couple evenings AND I am a light sleeper. Luckily this was a vacation and glad I was not there on a stressful business trip. I should add, the staff was very nice and polite, can't blame them for the noisy neighbor.

"Right in the heart of Dublin's City Center"
We wanted a hotel that was easy to get to from Dublin airport, close to attractions and eateries, and able to accommodate 3 to a room. The Belvedere more than met our expectations. The spacious room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. I loved the teapot and generous mugs, so we could have a cuppa at the start and end of our day! Reception was open 24-7, so when we ran out of creamer, they were quickly replaced. Our only complaint is our stay was not long enough to take in their Irish Night Show. That's on my list for the next visit!

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
