This is a great hotel, located conveniently in central London providing easy walking to many destinations. Even though it is near Trafalgar Square, it is tucked down a fairly quiet street so noises from traffic and late-night pub patrons is not an issue. The staff is wonderfully accommodating, and were all a pleasure to interact with. Our room had a mini-fridge inside, which was perfect for storing some late night treats or takeaway food from any of the nearby restaurants.
I usually travel solo to London on business, but this time I brought my family and it was perfect to have adjoining rooms that we could open and use as a suite.

Stayed 3 nights in a Superior room with my two boys on a last minute quick trip to London. Wanted to stay in the center of things since we only had a couple days and the location couldn't be better! Room was very clean and spacious and bed was decently comfortable. Small kitchenette was nice to pick up breakfast items at the local Pret Manger and have a fast bite before heading out for our day. Hotels in London are very pricey, so I was lucky to get this room on a last minute discount booking through Expedia.

"Clean apart-hotel in a very central/safe location"
Hotel is 1 minute walk from Holborn tube station. Waitrose grocery store right across the street. The room itself was clean and bed was comfortable. Kitchen and bathroom facilities were small but adequate. Shower water pressure was very good. Toilet flush mechanism took some getting used to. Room safe was great. Hotel gym was small but well equipped. Free royal gala and pink lady apples in the lobby was a nice touch! Laundry facility option was nice though a bit steep in price (4 pounds for wash, 5 pounds for dry cycle)

We stayed one night and felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. All of the staff we came across were helpful and friendly. Our room was lovely and clean. The cocktail were fab and the breakfast was excellent. Special mention to Monica on reception who was superb. We will be staying here again on our next trip to London.

Hotels in central London can be nightmares; especially because of the water pressure and lack of bathroom space. Strand Hotel is a classy hotel that welcomes you with decent facilities and staff. Highly recommended

Long known as London's red-light and entertainment district, Soho is the area between Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road, and Piccadilly Circus tube stations. Visitors to Soho will see nightclubs, flagship stores like Liberty, and London's Chinatown. Relive the 1960s on Carnaby Street, or take in a show at one of the area's many theatres.
