I couldn't have been happier about our post wedding stay at this landmark hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff was fabulously friendly and charming. We were treated with tremendous kindness at every step of our two day stay. The facility is exquisite, every detail attended to. Nothing here is inexpensive, but if you're going to splurge, do it here! It's beyond beautiful, and the staff treats you like you're royalty. My only hope is that their food improves a bit. Being from the Northern Cal food Mecca of Berkeley, my dining standards were not met. Nothing was horrible, but nothing was amazing like everything else here.

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here with our son. My son sleeps in a crib and they've always had one available for us. We asked to be on the third floor because the last time we were on the bottom floor and the guests above us were loud. It was clean and quiet. A very pleasant stay. We will definitely stay there again the next time we're in Carpinteria.

Terrific little hotel just two blocks from the beach. Rooms are a little small, but have been recently renovated. Their breakfast was small, but wonderful (not your normal hotel breakfast)! Greg was a wealth of information regarding sights to see and places to eat. We'll be staying here again!

Great location! We stayed just a night. Santa Barbara offers a whole lot more than we can experience just in one day. The hotel is located just across the beach and near by boardwalk. We can walk to almost everywhere we need to go.

My wife and I came here on recommendation by my brother for our baby moon. They mistakenly put us in a smaller room but quickly placed us in our proper room. The staff was very kind and the grounds itself exuded a very relaxing old world aura and charm. It felt like stepping into 1874, with all the amenities of 2017. We opted to have breakfast delivered to our room, since my 7 months pregnant wife didn't want to traverse the stairs multiple times, and my was it delish! They certainly put the breakfast in bed and breakfast! Their chef created quiche and salad was great, as was their espresso and basically everything else we tried (which was almost everything on the menu). All in all I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a bnb in the area, you won't regret it!

I lived in Santa Barbara for a number of years and made my journey back to enjoy the beautiful place again. The staff at the Milo were generally knowledgeable on the local activities, but I felt that the young staff can definitely learn more about what Santa Barbara can offer besides wine-tasting. The room did not have AC and can be quite stifling. I suppose converting a historic building can be a challenge. However, you cannot beat the proximity to the beach and delightful breakfast at this price point in Santa Barbara. Highly recommended.

La quinta is towards the top of state street so is a bit of a walk towards the beach. With that in mind, either be prepared to walk a lot or take a short lyft ride. Rooms were clean and conveniently located across store from a little market. My only complaint is that when I lost my keys I was not asked for any identification or verification that I was in fact staying in the room I asked for new keys for. That can freak me out a bit but other than that a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time and loved that this hotel was in a great location and was very clean. Enjoyed the wine/cheese and cookie treats available. The hotel is very quaint and the beds were VERY comfortable. Continental breakfast could offer more of a variety, but it was a pleasant set up and it's nice to be able to eat outdoors. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends/family and will definitely return in the future.

Roads wind through the shaded hillsides of Montecito, which is home (or the second home) to the affluent and the famous. Locals leave their gated estates to shop and dine in the Upper Village or visit the upscale boutiques of Coast Village Road. For a glimpse of one of these estates, visitors can arrange for a tour of Lotusland, a 37-acre botanical wonderland featuring more than a dozen gardens.
