The hotel is close to convention center and downtown. It is clean and the food in the restaurant is very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful = excellent. The hotel has been renovated and has many modern features including Keurig coffee makers (if you like those) in the rooms.
However it would be great if they made microwave ovens available. Also many hotels provide all day coffee in the lobby(with real cream). I did not like being charged $5 for a bottle of water in the room. (I can buy two CASES of water bottles for that amount at the grocery store, and that's not even wholesale) In that sense I find this hotel a bit weak on the hospitality side.

Nice location in downtown Minneapolis. It's new, so it's clean and modern. The lobby area is great, and my room was perfectly nice. The set-up of the room is slightly odd, and there are motion lights in the bathroom that don't go off for 15-20 minutes after they are activated (and there's no way to turn them off). So, it was annoying using the bathroom in the middle of the night, then having the lights on for so long afterward with a sliding glass door that didn't block the light out. The location of the hotel is convenient to the light rail, so it was easy to get there from the airport, but the area got a bit rowdy at night (a number of night clubs, etc. are across the street). It didn't always feel super safe walking alone at night, but with people, it's fine.

Everything outside of the room is extra. Don't be cheap if you plan to stay here, or make sure not to indulge in the open bar.
Bar and steakhouse connected are high end and command their prices. Atmosphere is unique, with mood lighting in every space. Definitely recommended, it's within walking distance from the Convention Center
