Had a one-night weekend stay while attending the IMS Cycle Show. Stay was great. Very clean, quite and easy access to anything downtown. Direct access to skyway without having to go outdoors. Room was clean, almost spotless, quiet and well appointed. Had a great night's sleep. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. No pool, spa or sauna available at this hotel, so might not appeal to families with children who like to swim/splash in a pool. Will keep this place in mind for future downtown stays.

We mentioned that we were staying at the hotel for our anniversary and received a free room upgrade to a suite! Wonderful staff! The room was very clean and spacious. Being connected to the skyway was a plus, especially in February. Many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Parking was easy and affordable just around the block, instead of paying extra for the valet

This is really nice hotel, we got a great room on the 22nd floor. The staff was helpful and were able to answer all of our questions. Check-in was quick and painless; though, getting from the parking garage to the hotel is a bit of a hike. Checkout at noon was nice, as it allowed us to sleep in a little. It was very close (less than a block) to the Skyway Theater, the venue for the show we saw. All in all, I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are going to be in the area!

Stayed there on our wedding night 28 years ago, then again about 10 years ago. This time was with my husband and in-laws so we could attend a concert at Orchestra Hall. The staff was very accommodating with our room request. Parking was the cheapest of all the hotels in downtown Minneapolis, and they had a shuttle to take us where we needed to go. Friendliness and smiles from everyone we dealt with at the Normandy! Very comfortable and a good price. We will stay there again, and hopefully not too far in the future!!

It's a glamorous hotel with the comfortable Kimpton touch. Rooms are very nicely appointed and feel extremely elegant. The gym was GREAT. Service was excellent. Although it was busy, the room was quiet & peaceful.
The only thing I noticed was the limitation of late night food options. As a boutique hotel, the kitchen limits such to cold items--turkey sandwich, Caesar salad, hummus etc.
