Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport Hotels in Detroit, Michigan

This hotel is beautiful. It was a disappointment that the lobby is under refurbishment, but…I guess that's the way it goes. One big surprise: no vending machines, which would have been very nice. I arrived around 1am and would have liked a soft drink and a snack. (Room service would have taken too long and been too pricey.)

I have stayed at this airport property a few times. Crews from Southwest stay there and I learned about it from them. Hotel is a little dated, but the price is right and the staff is nice. I usually have a late night/after midnight check-in and the lounge area is open until 2am so food/drinks are available. Breakfast is free and pretty good. During my recent stay they "upgraded" me to a jacuzzi room-not good, so be sure to decline that room if offered.

Our room faced the atrium which was a wise choice since it was right next to I-94 and the Detroit airport. We had a King + sofa bed (small) and we found a blanket & pillow in the top of a closet but no sheets. When they delivered a sheet it was like a gaint pillowcase sewn on 3 sides. Very odd. The thermostat said 70 but it was humid and a bit stuffy with no outside windows. It had a decent Bar & Restaurant and staff was nice. An OK stay, convenient to the airport for a 7 am flight.

I stayed for a week and they did a great job. I would recommend this hotel to anyone

We were there for Grandaugthers Graduration. Only thing they were rebuilding the place....So I think it will bee better next time

Good airport hotel but edited 40 minutes for shuttle. Much too long. No apology!staff comment aimed at shuttle driver

Very nice and clean with good staff.The room is very comfortable.car park available.no problems at all.The only think was the noise of the planes because it is located less than 5 minutes from the airport.

I found the hotel to be overall just fine. I had requested a fragrance-free room. And I guess they did their best. But it's still had horrible perfume smell your the bathroom area. And the rest of it was only slightly better. They use for Breeze which also leaves a fragrance. After checking in I did not allow anyone into the room again and did as much cleaning myself as I could. It was 45 degrees outside but I open the windows and turned off the heat to air it out. That is the too much. The not enough is eating facilities in the hotel. I was expecting more like it other Embassy Suites. I would probably stay there again but I would look around a little more beforehand.
