The hotel "feels" more like 2 or 3 stars. That said the rooms are big and clean. The hotel staff is "normal" for Western standards but relative to the Asian hotels they are neither friendly nor nice enough. The location is very good close to the main street where all the bars and restaurants are located.

We are a family of 6 that stayed here for 6 nights. The elevators had a sign that there were wi fi issues being worked on as a matter of urgency. We checked out 6 days later having sizeable data fees due to the wifi not working at the hotel. Super frustrating. Connection lasted around 30 seconds each time.
The other downer was the cost of parking on a daily basis. We paid almost $3,000 for the accommodation with no wifi, then were hit with $8.50 per car per day. Disappointing.
Other than that, rooms are clean, today and very spacious. Reasonable
location. 5 minute walk to the Darwin Waterfront precinct. Walk to the vibrant city in around 20 minutes.

Booked a 4 night stay online, selecting a sea view, for the final few days of our holiday. I was excited to enjoy a bit of pure comfort in a big two bedroom space with a deck to enjoy the view.
However on arrival we were given a room on the ground floor that didn't have a view at all, was noisy compliments of the hotel and back packers out the back and was a complete let down.
Reception did promptly set things right but not until the next night as no rooms were available that night.
The proper room was everything I was anticipating.
The annoying thing was that staff blamed the fact I booked online 'in future book directly with us' etc etc. I almost always book online, working full time it's just easier and you can get some great deals so what is purchased online should be what you get.
A bit surprised we didn't get some sort of discount on the first night.
But, I would stay there again as the view was great and everything was clean and comfortable.
