"Good hotel for short stays"
Needed a good hotel close to family and this fit the bill. Very clean and comfortable and the staff were always friendly. Rooms advertised as renovated but our kitchen was a little old compared to families but was still functionally. Pool was a bonus and kids loved it however we could only use it 1 day out of 4 as it was a bit too dirty. Had 3 staying in room (child on rollaway) but only got supplied with 2 towels. Called reception for another and was advised it would be received when room was serviced (which was daily) but it never arrived. Over all a comfortable stay and not too noisy.

ibis Budget Dandenong

185-193 Princes Hwy, Dandenong - Map
"A Good Overnighter."
It is what it is, budget. While the exterior itself isn't overly pretty, the lobby is clean, bright and reasonably modern. A simple dining area is available with a basic but decent range of food for breakfast at $9 p/p. Toasters, microwaves etc are also available for communal use. As is a laundry. The queen room my fiancé and I stayed in was more than sufficient for our overnight stay. Be aware though, the entrance to the room itself and the bathroom are raised so may be awkward for those with walking difficulties etc. The bed was clean and comfortable. The "bathroom" was adequate if not reminiscent of a budget campervan/airplane bathroom, the sink is located at the opposite end of the room though. Bring toiletries as only bar soap is included. A good flat screen TV, kettle, bar fridge (empty), provisions for instant coffee and a small desk are provided. Being on the ground floor at the front of the building, privacy was an issue if you wanted to have the blind up. The carpark (a good size and free) is right outside, so cars are parked almost at your window and people can very easily see in. All in all, Ibis Budget Dandenong provided a safe and clean option for those looking for basic accommodation out of the city.

Dandenong Motel

"Motel used to attend World Cup Golf."
Motel was old and first impression not that good. However room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom which had been updated. We did not use for breakfast, but microwave and crockery and cutlery was made available for evening meals. Outside area, carpark and surrounds does need to be tided up and then keep in reasonable condition. Would be happy to recommend to a friend, where their use was similar to ours, that is, was purely for sleeping purposes.

Dandenong is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Dandenong, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Dandenong hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
