In town for a show at the Chaistan amphitheater. Arrived at 4:30 we were told that our room was not ready even though check in is 3 pm. I asked if we could upgrade to a king room I was told they had one available but it would be a $100 upgrade fee because I booked through Expedia. FYI price of the king room was only $20 dollar difference in posted rate. The elevators were down and we were put on the 5th floor. Hotel staff didn't offer use of the freight elevator. overall the front desk was rude and condescending.

I was able to walk to neighboring places of interest. Having Gordon Biercht next door was convenient. I appreciated the parking, I think it was included in the price.. Elsewhere on my trip, parking was expensive.

We planned on only 1 night in Atlanta but stayed 2 because we enjoyed the hotel so much. No complaints, only compliments. The hotel itself is excellent in every way, especially because it gives a boutique feel to what is really a large hotel. But the best part is the outstanding staff in every department. They were highly competent, went out of their way to help us with every detail, and were all very cheerful and friendly. They even make a point of remembering your name. This is the best USA hotel we have ever stayed.
