This hotel is in a great location on the south end of the island near the pier. Free parking for guests (included with the room charge). It costs $2.00 per hour for public parking every where on the island. I would have given a higher rating, but the room was extremely humid-well beyond comfortable. Everything was so damp, it felt wet. There was condensation on the tile bathroom floor and the mirrors all the time. The only way to slightly alleviate this was to turn the a/c down to an uncomfortable 65 degrees. They really need to correct this problem. I would have given a higher rating if not for this issue.
Apparently if you plan to be in your room past 11:00 a.m. they won't clean your room. Housekeeping was cleaning the room next to ours as we were headed out for the day, there was a placard put on our door stating that our room wouldn't be serviced due to the "Do Not Disturb" sign. I asked if she could take care of our room when she was done next door, I got a very rude, "No, you had the Do Not Disturb sign on." I told her that we were leaving now, she still refused. So I just asked for clean towels, as we were staying another night and she complied. Although, I did have to give her the used ones. This needs to be addressed with housekeeping or tell your guests what time they need to be out of their room for it to be serviced. When I am on vacation I don't want to have to be on a schedule. I have never experienced this at any hotel that I have ever stayed.

Was there for the Georgia Commission of Family Violence conference.
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was clean, well laid out and I loved having a refrigerator, microwave and stove. The common space is large and bedrooms appropriately sized. Unfortunately the electric plugs are few and often oddly placed which required extension cords in order to accommodate simultaneous use of lamps and any computer or phone chargers. When extension cords are not present as was the case in my room, the facilities person was prompt in bring a spare to me.
