Not an amazing hotel, self park is ok, great view the higher you go, big rooms, no mini fridge, leaking toilet (minimal from tank), hose keeping kept throwing away our food I think, but easy to get to and friendly staff. Always kept clean.

"Charming tourist hotel close to most tourist sites"
The River Street Inn is a gorgeous building and beautifully furnished. It is right along the waterfront and within 10-30 minutes' walking distance of all major tourist attractions in Savannah. I found the location very convenient. But it is a hotel for tourists rather than business. There is no desk and chair in the room, and the room is very, very dim with only three small lamps for lighting. So it is not ideal if you need to work. Because it is an old hotel, the rooms are not soundproof. The floorboards creak loudly when people are walking up and down the corridor or in the next room, some of the doors don't fit properly so they bang when people close them, and you can hear people's hairdryers and other sounds like coughing. If you like charming historic buildings with antique furnishings, this is a beautiful place to stay. If you need to work or you're going to be bothered by the inconveniences of an old building, then this will not be right for you.

"Not the best end of Broad St but inside is nice."
The Rooftop Bar was closed and couldn't figure out to access the pool as the door from the inside was locked. The dining area was closed. It seemed a bit deserted. When we came in for the evening there was some guy sleeping at the table right at the front door, but nobody seemed to notice or care. And a guy with a pay by the hour chic checking in at the front desk.
