"Good location, great staff"
Great looking building, has some real character to it. Lots of nods to the building's history, with some architecture kept intact. Constructed in the 30s, the building sed to be home to the Board of Education and has undergone massive renos. Staff (valet, desk staff, and kitchen staff) were all tremendously hard working and friendly. They really need to get some help for them, though, as there were far too little staffers. Breakfast was very good, food plentiful and freshly heated. Typical hot breakfast fare: sausage, eggs, pancakes, waffles, breakfast potatoes, cereal, fruit, etc. Rooms had very high ceilings, and we had a nice view of a courtyard out front. Valet parking only - no parking lot on-site. Excellent location, within 10-15 minute walk of many bars/clubs/restaurants, plus Progressive Field, FirstEnergy Field, QuickenLoans Arena, and the Rock&Roll Hall of Fame. Outside of lack of employees, the only other complaint I had was that the water is ultra-chlorinated. Not sure if this is unique to this hotel or is a typical Cleveland thing, but it was like showering in a swimming pool.
