"Great location, great price."
Situated in a great location. Only 20 minutes from downtown and pier. Close to a Denny's and In-N-Out, and other restaurants. There is a restaurant in the same lot as Best Western; I found their food to be mediocre. Close to a Costco and grocery stores. Close to public transit. Very clean. Located in an industrial area, but it felt very safe. I had just one issue: the room I was in didn't have black-out curtains to block light from coming into the room, only shear curtains. There was road construction going on between midnight and 4:00AM. The high powered work lights were shining directly into my room. I had no black-out curtains to close to block the light, which made it difficult to sleep. Other than that, I did enjoy my stay.

"Nice hotel, walking distance to most of downtown. "
The sofia is a nice, clean hotel. The rooms are on the small side and the lighting in the bathroom is pretty dim. Check in was easy although parking is a bit steep ($36 a day.) All in all it is a good choice to stay downtown for a reasonable price.

"Town and Country"
We come down to San Diego about once a month, and we always stay at the Town and Country! During the fall and winter, the prices for rooms go way down! We have experienced a room upgrade just about every time we’ve booked a room. Really nice pool area, with a snack bar. The on site sports bar has great food too.
