"Overnight getaway"
The resort was pleasant with lovely rooms, quaint public spaces and an interesting history. Prices were good out of season; however the weather was a downside (104 degrees). The staff was attentive and seemed well trained. There are studio rooms and much larger multi-bedroom casitas spread throughout the 43 acre property. The restaurant served good food with daily specials. Seven dollar store wines for $45 a bottle seemed a little out of line. Borrego Springs is an out of the way desert town with very little to do. Borrego hasn't changed much in many years. If you want peace and quiet this is the spot, if you want restaurants, entertainment options, shopping, recreation, you should try Palm Springs or Scottsdale for similar weather and many more options. Perhaps the winter season would offer a livelier experience and much better weather. We'll try again next winter. If you are a golfer Rams Hill is a world class course less than a mile from the resort.

"Comfortable and convenient to area golf courses."
Checked in around 10:30 pm, driving in we did not have anything to eat, and upon arrival was told everything in the area was closed and no food was available at the hotel. The main desk had a refrigerated showcase where we bought 3 lunchables. If driving in, Hwy 78 is a very hilly, curvey road with lots of switchbacks. Drive during the day but if you must at night, be sure to eat before the uphill ascent into these mountains. Otherwise, it was the perfect place to stay.

"Nice rustic retreat"
I stayed here for a night in January. The room was brimming with character with a spacious bed, lace tablecloth, and a vanity. It was a charming place with quick access to Julian and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.

"Super close to polo grounds"
Stayed during Coachella and it was close to the fields. Only complaint is the complex it is in. There's only one main gate that non-residents can use (which is like a 15 min walk from the hotel). There will be a queue for cars to turn into the gate. We ended up just walking and ubering wherever we needed to go because it was not worth waiting in that line. Oh, no late check out when we went (prompt 10:00 AM). Besides the gate issue, the hotel is clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was not the most hospitable, just there to do their work.

"Great View"
We booked for a weekday getaway from the bustle of the coast. We thought it would be more of a "hotel" but it is in reality a converted residence, but that made it all the more quaint. There was no staff per se, no one was in attendance throughout the night. We did meet the new off-site manager who was there when we arrived and was extremely nice and helpful. There are 6 rooms. Three of which were occupied by other guests, who were in town for work. They pretty much had control of the common rooms that consisted of a living room/lobby and a kitchen and although these were adjacent to our room on the first floor, we stayed to ourselves for privacy. A thin door separated us with a flimsy lock and we could hear them and the TV through our wall. We had a very large "suite" with jacuzzi tub and walk-in closets but only 1 chair! A very comfortable king bed and a small refrigerator. Mgt said that they were in the process of renovations and we noticed areas of our room that were due for replacement or not finished. The AC/heat was not working and the windows were difficult. Our door to the front deck had glass and a flimsy shade and you could see our bed from outside. Other guests who were up at the crack of dawn kept walking past our door while having a morning smoke and this woke us. The room needs heavier doors/shades for better privacy. The driveway is challenging and hard to see from the road. Parking is a challenge too. Overall I must give an A+ to Mgt for attitude and effort!

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Borrego Springs hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
