There was 0 microwave, the mini fridge didn’t work, my bed had a duvet with no duvet cover. Instead of a duvet cover they put an additional top sheet over the duvet. There wasn’t a fitted sheet on the bed, it was a tucked in top sheet. That means there were THREE top sheets on my bed. One as the base sheet, one as the regular top sheet, and one as the duvet cover. Naturally, it wasn’t a comfortable sleeping experience.

The Handlery was a great choice when we needed a place by SDSU for a few days. The property is convenient to many things in San Diego. Staff is very attentive and pleasant. The pool and hottub a highlight. Room and common areas are ckean. Property could use some updating but overall a great stay.

I want to start by saying the front desk staff was very kind and competent. I also had a brief interaction with housekeeping when we passed in the hall and they were friendly as well. That said, I spent about 10 minutes in my "premier" room and left. I've never walked out of a hotel before but this one was old, dingy, depressing, and the "balcony" was dark and felt unsafe. I recognize I did not book 5 star accommodations, but I also would expect a level of quality from a large company such as Expedia. I wish I hadn't already given them and the hotel my money, and will be thinking twice before trusting this site again.

We loved the Friday night poolside entertainment. My only complaint, I wish the bathroom was better stock. The hair conditioner was terrible, and it would of been nice if there were a hair dryer. So glad that I brought my travel one with me.
