"Nice hotel"
The staff is very attentive. The beds seem a little soft. Would recommend they rethink the policy on the parking however. For such a nice hotel they shouldn't have to force guests to use valet and then charge them $40/day. That was a big surprise downer.

"Nice decent hotel not too far from San Diego "
We rented 3 rooms for one night as part of our family vacation/road trip. 2 of the rooms for some reason did not have toilet paper rolls so we had to go down to the front desk to get some. From my understanding 2 of the rooms had comfortable beds but one of them had a king bed which was somewhat lumpy. Overall though I was happy with the stay and give it a shot on another occasion.

"I am giving it a 3, below will explain why."
Over a 4 day stay, the ice machine is old and broken, so no ice, room phone didn't work, alarm radio had a buzz so it had to be unplugged, light bulb out in bathroom never replaced , towels were a little short on numbers, no wash clothes sink was old and had many rust spots, facets was new, staff just didn't seem to care. In it's day this would have been a upperclass motel. We would stay again, beds were comfy, room was clean, room was big, good hot water, air worked well with good line up on the TV, if you can get by the age you will be comfortable and for the price you just can't beat this motel. Motel taxes are high but it's not their fault.

"Excellent hotel. Convenient and clean."
My family had a great stay here! It's convenient off the I-5. We stayed on the 4th floor which had a fun view of the street below. Breakfast was great. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, cereal, bread, bagels, yogurt, juice, milk, cookies, etc. Kitchen area is very small, but this hotel makes it work. Breakfast attendant worked very hard every morning to keep things clean, stocked, and organized. Front desk staff was friendly upon arrival and check-out, and provided extra bedding upon request. We visited the International Friendship state park and the Living Coast Discovery Center and 5 different beaches. Very convenient and affordable.

"good hotel "
Staff was helpful, i got there earlier and they rushed to clean the room for me. Hotel was ok, my only thing was the noise. Rooms are not sound proof, i'm glad i asked for top floor, couple of times during the night i woke up cause of the noise coming from my neighbors.

National City is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in National City, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your National City hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
