Staff couldn't have been nicer. Located very close to attractions and multiple modes of public transportation. Room was on the smaller side but very comfortable. If you are looking for accommodations with character, this is definitely the place for you!

We were here for 2 nights celebrating my sons 21st. The hotel is a great base for exploring the city and restaurants. Next door there is the sky tower, across the road P J O`briens pub and 10 mins walk is the Casino. They had our beds mixed up but that was quickly fixed, pre book breakfast early and you get a discount.

Hotel was clean. Very friendly staff! Location was great, 5-8minute walk to the casino and 9 minute walk from Bourke street mall. Right outside the tram stop.
Only downfall is that the wifi is not free! Wifi was only free for 24 hours of our trip, the rest of the days need to be paid for.

Arrived to a smiling reception and told we had an upgrade. We had stayed here before and we're looking forward to the experience but didn't want to spend too much money. The room we were given was amazing and we were quickly on the phone to the friend whose party we were attending. It was so spacious and welcoming, warm and comfortable. Next time we stay in Melbourne, we will stay here and as they say "you never know your luck in a big city" so we might fluke another upgrade. We will enjoy the experience anyway!

The oldest suburb of Melbourne, bohemian Fitzroy is considered part of the city centre. Retro shops, galleries, bookshops, cafés, restaurants, and a healthy nightlife flourish along Brunswick Street. Try Smith Street for great vegetarian and budget-friendly Greek, Asian, Middle Eastern, and Moroccan fare, and Johnston Street for Spanish tapas and flamenco. Fitzroy is also the centre of the Melbourne’s annual Fringe Festival (September/October).
