The lobby is beautiful, staff was lovely when checking in... There was some sort of Rocky Horror Picture Show revival going on somewhere in town, so I had the pleasure of sharing an elevator at 6:00am with a rather drunk woman in her underwear, headed to her room... You cannot control others, haha. Food was excellent (breakfast) perhaps a little pricy for some. The lounge area is so relaxing and the bartender was great.

We loved our stay at the Renaissance Hotel in Providence! The location is centrally located. Walking distance to State House (across the street), shopping mall and many restraunts. River walk is gorgeous and a short walk up the hill to Brown University.

Downtown Providence underwent an artistic and economic renaissance during the 1990s. The red-brick factories of the Jewelry District have been transformed into a lively residential and commercial center. Providence Place, with more than 170 stores and entertainment venues, is a popular destination; and WaterFire, an event with bonfires, gondolas, and music, takes place multiple times annually.
