My friend and I stayed at the Omni Hotel Providence this weekend, and it was really nice. Pretty standard rooms, but it is ALL about location! Everything is in walking distance! The employees were all very welcoming and made our stay very pleasant. The only issue we really had was with the elevators. They were terrifying, going ridiculously fast while shaking a little more than I'm comfortable with. Also, breakfast was not included, but there are Dunks' everywhere so no big deal. I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Nice botique hotel with that one-of-a-kind quirkiness that makes a stay a nice break from a standard corporate hotel. As an architect, I enjoyed the old-building details that were kept in place. The staff was very friendly and the location is perfect for a short walk to various bars and restaurants. I'll definititely re-book when I need to escape from those sky-high Boston hotel rates.

Downtown Providence underwent an artistic and economic renaissance during the 1990s. The red-brick factories of the Jewelry District have been transformed into a lively residential and commercial center. Providence Place, with more than 170 stores and entertainment venues, is a popular destination; and WaterFire, an event with bonfires, gondolas, and music, takes place multiple times annually.
