"Old-fashioned, near-luxury hotel in good location"
A friend and I stayed five nights at this older hotel in excellent location on "The Path" and next to Union Station in downtown Toronto. It was very clean and comfortable, with full services, good restaurants. Nice view. Near lots of shops. Our requests were readily met, such as getting a small fridge. Staff very pleasant. Bathroom and closet a tad small. HOWEVER, there were quite a few strange glitches in regard to the bill. First, we had not been told that $100 per day would be charged to my credit card "for incidentals," which would be refunded later if we had not incurred expenses. Unacceptable not have told us, outrageous in that of course hardly anyone would incur such costs and the hotel uses this gimmick to collect probably huge interest. Not only that, but there had been three additional mystery charges, including one for large quantities of vodka!! No vodka at all imbibed by us. All this is supposedly being fixed but I recommend that travelers check their credit charges closely.

The location of the hotel is perfect. You have access to everything and the underground Path allows you to get everywhere if you don't want to use a car or go outside. My daughter loved the pool especially going from outside to inside. The facilities were clean but would love if the change room was directly connected to the pool. Our room was very good with a monstrous size television. We were on the 41st floor and had amazing views of the city. Room service was quick and good but next time I will also order off the kids menu as it was a good price and decent size. Mine felt too pricey. The hotel staff is great and we will visit again.

Beautiful resort, first night we ate at the bar and the food was amazing. Spent the day at the indoor/outdoor pool and the outdoor hot tub. Ate our second dinner at the chophouse and the food was unreal.
