Great place to stay if you have an early flight. 4 star hotel with nice amenities, good in house restaurant, walking distance to a plethora of food options, walking distance to mall, and underground parking. I enjoyed my stay. Furnishings are dated, however the location and bang for buck made up the difference.

We found this hotel to be very relaxing and charming. It was not perfect and polished and at times, facilities were in the process of being fixed. However, we did not want to stay in a perfect hotel, but in one that represented the area it is located in and this hotel certainly met that requirement.
The hotel is located in a lively, commercial area, where people are busy going about their daily working lives. We found this fascinating and much more interesting than being situated in the more sterile, albeit luxurious hotels that modern Dubai offers.
The location of the hotel also means that you can easily walk around the area of Deira and its souks. It also means that you can easily catch the river bus to Bur Dubai and the metro is a short walk away.
Breakfast was suitable and whilst not a fantastic spread, it kept the "wolf from the door" and enabled us to start each day not having to worry about where to fuel up beforehand.
The staff were very helpful and were a pleasure to meet.
We felt safe at all times whilst staying at the hotel and whilst travelling around Dubai itself.

Dubai is a fantastic place for a stopover en route to or from Europe. One has to give full credit for the amazing development that has taken place over a relatively short timeframe. It was amazing to me to find that even the bus stop shelters were air conditioned!

Just returned from Dubai, staying for 7 nights in the Coral Deira Dubai hotel. The hotel is only 10 minutes from the airport (35dms going & 20dms return).
What can I say about the hotel? They couldn’t do enough for us. We were up-graded to a room with a balcony. The room was lovely with a massive queen bed & the nice balcony overlooking the main road. There is a mini fridge which was really cold & we got 2 free bottles of water each day. Lots of power points in the room & all sockets are UK adaptable. There are even USB power points! The shower was one of the best we’ve had on holiday. You also get a free safe & air con.
The roof top pool was cool & refreshing with free pool towels and about 8 beds. the pool was quiet most days but pretty busy on Friday.
The hotel is mainly occupied by business people but there were a few families too.
We had continental breakfast once while we were there which was good, with good. Book through reception to get it 50dms each, cheaper than paying direct to waitresses. We also had a light breakfast in the reception cafe (25dms) of coffee, a croissant & 3 cakes which was perfect.
We had an excellent onsite Indian meal.
The reception staff were very helpful & informative. They also contacted their sister beach hotel in Sharjah to arrange for us to spend the day there.
Overall I would highly recommend staying in the Coral Deira & look forward to going back next year.

I have been there for almost a month. I came to really like the staff and they were very helpful. The Manager for the reservations was able to accommodate all my requests, and the reception was good, and the staff in the lobby were also on the ball and helping out in things. The room comfort is really good and especially I was happy with the beds. Very nice to sleep in. The location is very close to the airport and one can reach Sharjah, Dubai Downtown, Airport, all in a short time. The surroundings are not so great, but one has a big supermarket, cheap food, and pretty much everything one needs to walking distance. If you don't want to spend the price of a nifty 5star luxury, this one has pretty much all one needs in a good standard, and one can afford to stay for a month without going broke.

On the north side of Dubai Creek, Deira is an interface between the high-rise business city and the traditional Arab trading port. Modern malls give way to ancient souks selling silks, spices, gold, perfumes, and a lively fish market. A broad waterfront promenade leads past the dhow wharf, where the wooden vessels offload their cargos. Beyond lie the dhow boat-building yards, and Dubai Creek’s ritzy golf and yacht club.
