"Enjoyable and relaxing stay despite a horrendous c"
The reception staff and hotel manager were borderline incompetent and very rude to our party that had booked out over 10 rooms in the hotel for a long weekend.
Due to a simple change from our booking (1 less person) that differed from Expedia to what was displayed on their hotel system. We arrived at 10am, tried to check in, an hour later told to go to the bar downstairs while they sorted it, still not sorted, went out for lunch for a few hours and returned at 4pm and they still hadn’t sorted out our rooms and bills – during which the whole time they were not listening to a simple explanation, mis charged most of the bills that we had to pay per room (very slow process) and unapologetically saying it was our fault in a very rude tone and accepting no responsibility nor listening to the simple change of one room. This check in wasted 3 hours of our day sitting at reception when they couldn’t get their act together.
After an infuriatingly draining and long check in process they moved our party into the upgraded prestige area that has slightly nicer rooms and a nicer pool area. After which we had a pleasant stay.
The outdoor / pool area is very picturesque and relaxing. The bar is modern and a nice place to spend time with board games and darts / pool. The breakfast buffet is amazing spread and worth waking up for every morning.

We stayed for 3 nights at this gorgeous spot. The hotel is lovely and recently refurbished, our room was quiet with a beautiful sea view. Easy walking distance to local sandy beaches with crystal clear warm seas.
We were half board and the food was varied, fresh and well prepared. The staff were very helpful. I can imagine it's less relaxed in high season as it's a big hotel- I've heard that there is the normal battle for pool side loungers at busy times, but aside from that I'd go back in a flash.

Sitting on your room balcony or hotel terraces overlooking the sea is the perfect way to de-stress. So much to watch and so relaxing listening to sound of the waves however having stayed there several times over the years feel that other than the internet and now a coffee machine in your room is the hotel getting left behind with so many new top grade hotels coming to the market place.
I am a tea drinker but that facility is not in the room.
Should there be a chefs station in the restaurant at breakfast ?
The pools are always cold.
The staff are lovely but appear unorganised but perhaps all the above are part of its charm and yes we will be back again.

Very popular with British families, Santa Ponsa, on the southwest coast of the island, is a purpose-built resort set on a bay of fine white sand and shallow warm water. Quieter at night than its neighbouring resorts, Magaluf and Palma Nova (both approximately five kilometres east), Santa Ponsa is still close enough to enjoy their family attractions by day.
