Excellent until the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, this was not a test but the real deal, However once we got back into the hotel the staff could not do enough for us, free tea and coffee, a brandy might have been more beneficial! Would thoroughly recommend to everyone.

Needs decorating inside & out, the rooms need new furniture before someone hearts them self on it. they charge £15.00 per night for being dog friendly (giving you a new blanket and ball, very nice) But £15.00 a night for deep cleaning it would have been nice if they had done that for me! The breakfast was nice, but getting ice cold milk for the tea/coffee?

"Very nice but over priced"
When paying £225 for b&b I expect pure luxury! The cost was more than we paid for the Mayfair in London. The facilities were very nice but the room was average. The bathroom was basic and a little shabby. The wallpaper in the room and the bathroom was water stained and peeling. The bedding was low quality and cheap. Fairly minor quibbles but when paying an absolute premium you expect absolute perfection!

"Better Than Premier Inn (Just)"
The main reason I did not score the hotel 5/5 is the location. It is a little out of town with not much around unless you are willing to walk a fair way into Plymouth. The staff were perfectly polite, if a little inattentive whilst serving in a not prticularly busy restaurant. The room was spacious, clean and with all the facilities one would expect. I did venture into the fitness room which had a treadmill, cross trainer, 2 rowing machines and a broken exercise bike so not the best equipped but better than nothing. Didn't eat breakfast as it was ridiculously over priced at nearly £10. Given the price paid (£87 room only) it seems to be pitched at the Premier Inn level and I would stay there again as you do get a little more for your money including free wifi and parking.

"Great hotel; food, location, spa, clean & smart"
We stayed for 2 nights. The room was great some lovely extras like the coffee machine and air con! It was very clean and tidy with slippers and dressing gowns too. Within easy walking distance to the city centre and some great local places to eat. The breakfast was worth paying for; good selection, fresh juice, good cooked choice not huge portions but you can have as much as you like! If you have the time use the spa facilities; we had an excellent massage before leaving. A great place to spand a weekend.

"Close to city centre"
Expedia messed up the dates so we had somehow booked the next week, but the hotel staff sorted it quickly and with no need to use the confusing and difficult to navigate Expedia site again.

"English B&B Classic!"
This is the place to be if you are lusting after a proverbial, English B&B with a familial touch. In my opinion, it's the proper way to do Torquay. Keep in mind, it's not a hotel, but a B&B, so there are shared bathroom facilities. Staff are extremely nice and helpful. Overall, it was lovely and I feel like I have a home away from home now next time I come to Torquay.

Devon is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Devon, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Devon hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
