"Nice hotel, but early wake-up noise!"
A return weekend getaway to the hotel where my wife said "yes" to my marriage proposal! Almost all things you'd expect from a 4* hotel, but they put us in room 101 and got woken up around 6am each morning by mechanical noise (extractors from kitchen or A/C?). Complained after 1st night and was assured it was a water pump that they could turn off, so they didn't offer us an alternative room. Other than that slip-up, staff very attentive. Just don't let them put you in room 101, which is on corner above all the service rooms/kitchen.

"Beautiful view and pretty room."
Pleasantly surprised to find the room had recently been refurbished and looked lovely. However the room hadn't been properly prepared as essential items were missing such as one dressing gown and slippers, iron, hotel information, breakfast order card, number for reception etc. The mattress on one of the pushed together beds was of the poorest quality...just cloth over the springs. After a very uncomfortable 1st night I asked for this to be changed which it was. When breakfast arrived in our room next day the orange juice was missing and white toast came instead of the brown ordered. I listed these issues on the feedback card but did not receive an apology or acknowledgement never mind a complimentary drink or something to make amends. Think there is room for improvement in terms of customer service and just getting the basics right. Also although free wifi is advertised it does not reach some of the rooms including ours.

"Beautiful cottage close to the Donkey Sanctuary."
The cottage was clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly. It would have been perfect if there was a swimming pool on site. Good location for exploring Sidmouth, Lyme Regis and Beer. The Donkey Sanctuary is a must. We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend to friends and family.

"Great location for local attractions."
Welcomed upon our arrival with afternoon tea on the outside front terrace. Bedroom was spacious with all advertised facilities including Wi-Fi available. We had use of a comfortable lounge if we so wished throughout our stay. The fields surrounding the farm were full of sheep making for a lovely pastoral atmosphere and farms senior (grandmother) sheepdog Kim was usually on hand to give us a friendly greeting. Speaking of friendly greetings Kirsten who manages the B & B was approachable, helpful cheerful throughout our stay.

Sidmouth is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Sidmouth, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Sidmouth hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
